PC
Steam
Keyboard/Mouse
Windows 10 Pro 64
Gun: G36C
Trigger: semi/burst or full auto/burst
Switched over to burst fire mode, I have to click twice for a burst to happen
Acts something like this
Click 1 - Nothing
Click 2 - 3 Round Burst
Click 3 - Nothing
Click 4 - 3 Round Burst
Click 5 - Nothing
Click 6 - 3 Round Burst
This doesn't matter how slow or how fast i do it. The semi auto and full auto works fine.
You are not. Only saw one other thread where ubisoft actually responded, but they did not admit as known issue so I just submit a case via chat today. The agent did say they did not seem to be aware of it & said he would flag it for the dev team to investigate.
I also added to my case #04579901 that it happens for me with ALL burst mode weapons I've tried: AR, LMG, & even the MK14 sniper rifle. Also noticed that after a successful 3-round burst, the next shot is always a dead shot (like you noted) even if you switch back to Semi fire & try to follow a burst with Semi.
Hopefully we'll see a patch for this soon. This was the video I sent them: https://vimeo.com/209324173
I figured out the issue that is occurring after more testing last night. The problem comes from releasing the trigger (a.k.a Left Mouse Button) BEFORE the burst fire completes. If I make sure to keep the trigger/button held for the entire duration & only release when the bullets stop firing, then the next trigger/LMB press works correctly the following shot.
Seems like the BUTTON_RELEASE command is not being recognized if done during the burst animation, this causes the next BUTTON_PRESS command not to trigger because the game still thinks the button is already being held down. It is only when you release the trigger/LMB on the second press/release (failed shot) that it finally recognizes the button is released so your 3rd shot will trigger correctly again when pressed down.
Obviously, this is problematic in intense fire fights where you may let go off the button early to dive for cover; then your next shot will not work when you need it to. Hope to see a fix for this soon.
Thanks for figuring that out. I had the same issue with the G36C last night (on PS4). Experimented a bit and couldn't figure out the pattern but what you are saying seems to match up.
I've used burst fire exclusively in this game. Came back after long brake and found out that this bug is still in the game. This is a shooting game, right?
Hi VerusLT! Do you have video of this issue so I can pass it along?
