So I've literally been going back and forth with Ubisoft terrible customer service for a month on this, and they've been completely worthless. Has anyone managed to figure this out?

    Closer to solving this

All, please try this, I'm getting closer. I got the game to work by creating a none ADMIN user.
This allowed me to launch the game. So the issue must be with a driver or another software installed. I have already verified all task in the windows manager, so it not that. It has to be in the Registry, something that does not carry over to the new profile. Try it and let me know if this works for you, oh and it's not the NVidia drivers or their app. I'll keep looking to see what it is.

    Any luck?

I get through the opening cinematics and then it just hangs on a Loading screen. It never freezes, it just hangs and won't stop spinning. I fixed it one time by clearing my temporary files, but then three days later the issue recurred, and I uninstalled the game in disgust. I just now reinstalled it only to find that the exact same issue is still happening.

This issue first happened to me during the OPEN BETA PERIOD and it is still not fixed. Ubisoft needs to officially change their company name to Ubisuck if this is how they support their players.

I'm also sick and tired of being told to reduce the security of my network just so their program - which should be able to handle port opening and closing on its own, UPnP is a THING people - can connect. No, Ubisuck, it's not perfectly safe. Yes, Ubisuck, there are hackers out there constantly sniffing around for open ports anywhere they can find them. Get your heads out of the sand.
