SAM sites need to be blown up AFAIK. Of course you can do that from a safe distance with C4 (haven't tried that myself yet though).

Quietly? only if you can get to the switch panel on it.

Destroy it? There are a few options.
- The HTI and maybe the MSR are the only two sniper rifles that can destroy it at range, and only without a suppressor. This appears to be a 'special property', as the L115A3 has the same penetration as the HTI, but funny how it's not as renowned as the HTI for being a one-hit killer.

- The usual explosives, such as grenades and C4. Not so much drone bombs for obvious reasons.

- Rebel mortar strikes. This will obviously give away your location wherever you're hiding for some ******** reason, but it's the longest range strike available. Just keep your eye on the jammer to make sure the rebels don't screw it up, i've had several incidents where I called down some thunder and the jammer stayed intact.

done this... still blows up and alerts everyone while still somehow being active but immune to more damage (im on xbox)

The only way to make it in a stealth way is to deactivate it manually, drone, HTI hit or mortar will screw your undercover situation. Best way to discover the position is to sneak on hill around or with the choper at relative high altitude.

When we play at group of 4 we try to find the position of the jammer, 3 body ready for sniping and covering ghost that go first sneaking the base. Parachute jump by night is a great way to enter
