How do you fight them, I've ran into a few today that just toasted me, they seem like conq 2.0. They attack quick, tricky to block and vortex beat the hell out of you with serious confirm damage that adds up quick. Waiting to parry/sidestep everything into combo legsweeps. Bad valks dont seem bad but ones that have the hang of her vortex/combos seem just too fast for a conq to keep up with them.
Try playing one to get familiar with them, that will help understand when the sweep is coming. Most of the time the valk will use the leg sweep after 2 lights, if you block either of the lights, she can't initiate the leg sweep. If she gets off 2 lights, get ready to dodge and punish. They can use the sweep to finish any combo, but this is the main combo it's used in.
I'm fine with the sweep, it's nowhere near as spammy as the conq's shield bash and is punishable to boot.
As a Valk player I can completely agree with this, that´s why it is alway good to mix it up.Originally Posted by Bob__Gnarly Go to original post
Conq also gives me the worst problems, I find her stagger time after being hit by a heavy incredible long, and makes it really hard to get out of the incoming shoulder bash from conq. If youre in a corner, you are screwed, if his charges hits you against a wall, a free heavy into a shoulder charge is guaranteed.
When playing against 1 I just try to mixup with conq, I try to get a parry for a big combo, and I try to light attack him out of his startup animation for shoulder ram.
