When I load up the game, my controller doesn't work. I cant Hold B to skip the opening video and holding escape has the effect of holding the B button just without it doing anything.the circle goes around the icon then just sits there as long as I hold the escape key but when I let it off the video just keeps on playing.. Sick of watching that. Then in the menus I have to use the keyboard to move around, and before you ask, yes in options it is set to use the controller.
Then when I start a game (still using the keyboard and mouse to create my character) the guy looks straight up in the air and no buttons on my controller do anything.
So after alt-F4'ing out as its the only way for me to be able to do anything i reboot. (oh god, that intro video...AGAIN. seriously I think i have seen in 15 times in the past hour i have spent trouble shooting) I go to the options, turn off controller to see what happens when I use the keyboard and mouse, as soon as the game loads in, my guy looks straight up in the air. i can use the keyboard to move my character, but the mouse does nothing. I cant get him to look down, or turn, but I can aim down sights, and i can fire my weapon.
So after a reboot of my PC, i unplugged my controller, sat through that video AGAIN, still just aiming upo in the air. Moved my mouse to a different USB, reboot, still looking up in the air, Unplugged my mouse completely, using just the keyboard to manure the menus, my guy looks straight up in the air.
What the hell is going on? I was stoked to play this game, the beta (both of them) worked fine. There have been no hardware changes since playing the beta. but if I have to watch that opening video one more time, I'm just going to punch my screen and write off this game as a waste of money

I'll save you some money by not allowing you to brake your monitor... send me your game!
One thing I noticed in the CB & OB was the fact that the saving the different key binds on the game took about 3 to 4 tries. Also, if one of the keys are not bind to a KB or Mouse and you get like a Red "!" the game will revert to the default options settings... pretty stupid but I can now see they decided, yet again, not to care about giving us PC players full customization control over our KB+M but just the bare minimum like its always the case with console ports.
Good thing they claimed this wasn't a console port but full blown PC game with full blown PC controls.
Another reason why I did not buy at release.

I had the exact same problem and opened a ticket for it.
In the meantime I switched my display mode to 'windowed', switched tasks with alt+tab, back to wildlands and my mouse and keyboard startet working.
In the public beta I was able to use controller and mouse/keyboard together. This seems not to work anymore...
