I've pre-purchased and downloaded the game in anticipation for the release tomorrow. After it had completed installation, I wanted to see if the install was correct and double-clicked the icon on my desktop for the game.

It asks for a CD key or activation code.

I noticed in the email receipt after my purchase that it says, "Your game will be activated in your Uplay PC Game library at release. "

Just want to be sure here - UBISoft is going to electronically activate my game in my library when I start the game on or after the release date, right? I don't need a CD key or any other code, including an upside down hand-shake or secret-squirrel message in invisible ink to activate the game, right?

Hi Reddgum,

Correct, you'll have access to the game once it is available in your region, which will be 12 am local time. We stopped doing invisible ink squirrel messages a few years back

@Ubi-ludex It seems the invisible ink squirrel messages are back... mine is still locked and shows as 'Coming Soon'

Sometimes things that are tried and proven to work are better. Mine's preloaded but stuck on coming soon also.
