Pretty sure your GTX 1070 should run the game at high settings and not crash. If your CPU isn't overclocked then i'm not sure what it could be.

At least your game is running. Mine isn't even loading up, just uninstalled it and reinstalling it on the OS drive like i had to with the beta's

The problem with PC gaming is there are so many variables to how a game will run on any one PC. There are different hardware types, programs interfering with the game, antivirus or viruses on the computer. I would say if your system meets the minimum requirements and you have issues my first question would be are you launching it through Steam or the Uplay client?
I'm sorry but I am tired of hearing and reading this as an excuse to come out with BS un-optimized games. Either don't sell the game on PC if you don't know how to do it or if you will take money for it... sell a working product.

Not everything wrong with the game is the fault of the player.

Stupid question but it seems like you are at your wits end anyways... did the game ask you to install Direct X or anything else that you didn't because you thought what you have is newer?

I have had issues before when I have skipped installing DX or CC redistributable or whatever the name is.

Another stupid tip... more times than not, when I have issues with a newer installed game, I tend to Uninstall my Audio and Video drivers completely, install a fresh copy of their latest version and test it out... sometimes during install the drivers can get corrupted. That or I have just gotten lucky when trying it

    Bsod

Right, my problems are something like this.

DL'ed the Beta. Ran fine, to a point, because I have an older system. Ran it on lowest settings and it worked fine apart from the odd freeze during the game. Which it then unfroze and played for a bit. Usual changing map areas/ new rendering of scenery etc.

Because it ran OK, and I like the game I bought the full version and a new GTX 1060 6GB Gfx card. Ran it fine for a week or so. Then got the 1.2 patch, then after a day or so got BSOD just after launching the actual game. Worked through all the loading screens, splash screens etc. Click on continue campaign and get to team screen. Click Launch then it usually crashes after about 20 - 30 seconds. Usually without getting to the playing screen. It has once crashed before clicking launch.

Read about there being issues with it not being on the C: drive. Checked the game files and all showed present and correct. Also ran a windows sfc /scannow to check the windows files. Again all fine. Uninstalled the game. Cleared out some space on my C: drive, an SSD. Reinstalled on my C: drive. Worked fine for two games. Closed it down and returned to it in the evening of the same day and it immediately crashes as before.

Tried running a new game to eliminate a game save file error, same problem. Drivers are all up to date. However have Nvidia experience running to do driver updates etc. Running through Ubisoft client prog thingy.

Here's the thing, my PC is not up to the min specs technically. AMD Phenom X2 3.1GHz, 12GB RAM, Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB, Soundblaster sound card, 240GB SSD C: drive. The thing that annoys me is I could have bought this for my PS4. However the graphics are better on the PC, AND THE BETA RAN ON MY PC.

    I'm frustrated.

EDIT - Also I NEVER get BSOD on anything else. I have had win7, and now Win10 and I thought they were a thing of the past. It runs all my other games with no problems.

I'm glad for you. I don't get that much time to play, and it's REALLY annoying to spend my free time faffing about trying to fix PC problems. This is the only Game / program I have had in years that crashes. This must narrow it down to shoddy programing. Ran a RAM test and all is fine. Just have to wait for patches to fix it.
