I've been hearing a lot about how the next DLC is going to include Roman Centurions. And I've been hearing a lot of complaints about how "this doesn't make sense with the timeline!" and "their technology would be absolute crap!".
LISTEN! This game is set in an entirely different universe. Real-world history is completely erroneous to For Honor. The factions are called what they are called, ONLY because the in-game factions and their real-life counterparts are similar in NAME ALONE.
tbh while i agree that this is a fictional game and that should mean no barriers between adding things like roman centurions, i also agree that they don't belong as part of the knights faction. I think it would be cool if a new faction was added each season, with romans being the next, and centurion being one of their heroes.
Or perhaps making all the DLC heroes not tied to a particular faction like the defaults are. I know with relative certainty, for example, that the knights faction has already pretty much exhausted examples of weapons used by medieval soldiers during their time period so it would be hard to add new heroes that fit within the knights' aesthetic feel.
yeah they could do 1h sword/mace and shield, but that would be too similar to conq, they could do lucernes, spears, and other pole weapons, but that would be too similar to lawbringer, etc.
