If they are relying on dodge attacks, you need to predict and react with a parry guard break punish. If they like to jump into you with the leap attack like an idiot, predict it, and parry guard break it.

If they start getting scared and just do empty dodges, guard break them for a free punish. Other than that, all they will do is try to get right next to you and usually do left right left right, or right up right up etc... Pay attention to their patterns, try to predict where the next light will come from, and parry it.

This situation is very dangerous though because unless you are playing an assassin, your guard change speed is slow as ****, so you might either guess wrong, or guess too slow and end up eating a string of light attacks.

My best advice is to get away from them as soon as you can if they have gotten in your face and started the light spam mixup. Try to block and back away.

Peace Keeper players are usually trash. People only play her because of the light spam mixup, and they generally are terrible at defense.. Outside of that cheese, no peace keeper gives me any problems. They are free food.

    that's ********
    The point is:
Why people tell to me, be patient, play smart, learn to play, look how it move and whatever, when a PK don't need anything of this, PK can just do his game just wait or dodge then gb stab plus poison.
Or dodge zone attack (the faster in the game plus the poison seriously?).
It's a skill game but PK user don't really need it, they don't need to play smart or look how other move or whatever you just need a minimum knowledge of your class and job it's almost done

Unless the assassin is crap. Why are conqs being aggressive against assassins in the first place is beyond me.

Because "Assassins" have tools that are supposed to be offensive oriented can be easily converted to defensively orientated. I.e using their dodge distance to close in, get one poke then use said dodge to get back out.

Personally don't have a problem against them but some do, and this is mainly the reason why.

2nd on PC in terms of KD of Conq.

Thats the point. I noticed that from day 1 in this game. Assassins with dodge attacks essentially force you to be on defense in every engagement. You are forced to wait for them to do something then try to counter it. Thats just the way the game is. They could easily solve that problem by making sidestep attacks vulnerable to guard breaks, but of course, all the trash assassin players would cry.

The best thing you can do is feint and see if they try to sidestep attack you then parry them, but I mean thats all it is when you fight an assassin. Waiting for them to do something then reacting to them for a punish. Lol.

I play Nobushi as main since the closed beta. I love its speed, range and versatility.

However I struggle greatly with assassins. The main problem is:

    1) Nobushi's light attacks are all forward thrust movements, which are easily dodged by assassins
    2) with my loadout, I have low defense and high attack
    3) for some reason I can NEVER counter or cancel a guard break.

What I found that works for occasionally hitting these fast-moving heroes is using slower but wider heavy attacks instead of the light ones. As Nobushi, the heavy attacks are usually side-swipes of the lance. Even though the heavy chain only has two moves, if we mix up the attack's sides, there's a chance that they miss a dodge and get hit. This usually breaks their focus a bit. I constantly have to mix light and heavy chains, in order to inflict bleed and catch them off-guard in a dodge.

But then we have these damn Orochis that spam guard-breaks. I hate people that spam the same attacks and trap you in their spamming sprees. There is usually a way to interrupt their spammy behavior... you just have to find it. In Nobushi versus Orochi duelling, I found that light-attacking while back stepping (thus inflicting bleeding) is a good way to dodge and break their spammy combo. Unfortunately most of the time this only happens after their first GB in the sequence and by then I'm already down to at least 50% HP

I main Nobushi. I keep about a length and a half of my polearm and just wait. I'm always ready for a top leap attack. If they are dancing in a bit, I poke ONLY ONE TIME. PKs are no longer a nuisance to me, find an open spot to fight them, stay away from enclosed spaces. Now Orochi is a pain in the butt. I can often beat them, but sometimes I get totally wrecked and it feels like I never stood a chance. I'm still experimenting on dealing with them.

Assassins usually wipe the floor with me. The PK dodges and hits or dodges and GB+stab. The Orochi does the Storm Rush followed by GB, top combo, GB combo, GO combo until I'm dead. This is the combo where pulling back and poking light attack you manage to dodge and inflict bleeding. But you need to keep your distance and be able to block or parry the inevitable Storm Rush. Again, for their dodges, side swipes with heavy attacks work ok.

The worst is the berserker. Those guys freak me out! Stupid neverending combo. If I fail to parry, I'm doomed!

    It is personal preference.

I hate fighting conquerors. I don't like their defensive layout and I personally find it unnerving to parry their flail attacks. I have a hard time reading them.

If a conqueror is good at utilising their superior block rating on heavy strikes, they punish your attacks. Add shield bash to the mix and my personal stress level rises.

The PK is a strong hero and the tripple stab is ugly but avoidable.

I mostly play vs. AI and to be honest, what is very strong vs. players, is mostly garbage vs. bots. @ Bot level 2, stabbing is only possible after a parry, because the bot nearly counters' all guard break attempts. From the beginning, sidesteps are only working, if the enemy wants to attack or is distracted - otherwise, the sidestep is blocked most of the time.

Last night I did over 20 PvP Duels for one of the daily missions. The only Duels I lost were against PK and Orochis. I hate Assassins.

The PK just kept dodging dodging dodging and occasionally GB and stab. Even though the dodging was 80 or 90% of the time to the same side, it would always catch me missing my attack, hence open to be hit. Every single round ended with me headless.

I'm not a bad player and I do really well against others.... but the Assassins are nearly impossible to hit. It's too much.

    Any tips are welcome!
