well, it would probably "work" and may be fun for the people, who are into that kind of games, but it is also important to understand, that this kind of gameplay does not fit the vision of a ghost recon game. or let us say it does not fit the vision, that many old fans have of the game, because at this point it is not clear, how far ubi is gonna push away from the original games and gameplay.
so, yeah...sth. like battle royal would work, but i guess it would work in any game with a big open-world map. however i personally would strongly advice against building such a game-mode, because i think every avallable manpower should be used to stenghten the core gameplay:
- refining the sp/coop experience with bugfixes and more features
- adding more challenging, tactical gameplay / mechanics in honor of the old GR games
- in first PvP dlc, focus on bringing the slow paced, tactical team-focused gameplay to PvP without turning it into a run&gun mayhem
Nope... not in this game.
Wouldn't fit and they would have to rework a lot of the gamechanics like spawning random loot at random locations, etc.... without it it's just a deathmatch game.
Only gamemodes like capture&hold a town/facility, escort vip or kidnapping (like capture the flag) would fit very well.
I guess escort a konvoi over a huge part of the map while the enemy tries to kidnapp/steal something from it after they have set up a trap somewhere on the route would be a lot of fun because it even has a lot of strategy in it..
