i also can relate. i've been triple stabbed twice in a row and then chucked a dude and got hatemail for it. well, maybe if you hadn't whiffed that third grab attempt...Originally Posted by Dude_of_Valor Go to original post
Now that most of the players know their way around counter-GBing and stuff, the throws can be more or less controlled so long as you're not exposing yourself to be freely GB'd. On my end I'll be fine with throwing people off and myself getting thrown off.
I'll be somewhat salty if it's a Warlord though. I have zero gripes if a Raider carries me to an environmental death since I shouldn't have been between him and the cliff to begin with and that he's more or less all about throws and collisions and environment. But a Warlord doesn't even require such an effort, covers more or less the same distance, and in all directions too.
I don't mind the environmental kills themselves, but I don't like being thrown 20 feet to be insta killed.
It hard to be aware of your environment and where you should be standing when the information you need is a stat on your opponent that you cannot see.
Lately though I have been having some issues with GB and CGB clearly not registering which makes the environment a pain.
I was playing yesterday against WL and he would not attack me and would wait by the ledges, i engaged him twice because i couldn't be bothered to wait and he cheesed me with the headbutt spam and off i fell. but the other 3 rounds were completely stand up and i beat him with ease. He messaged me to say how he was better so we played again and once again tried to cheese me but showed him we can all play like that and then threw him off the edge, i like to play Honourable but if they try and throw me off on purpose then i'm gonna turn the tables.
I have respect for you man. You put that Warlord where he belongs, IN THE DEEPEST PITS OF HELL!! *cough. Anyways, I totally can relate to you and I wish I could do something like that too. Oh, and if he sits near the cliff, make sure you position yourself so if you CGB him he will fall off himself and he will call you a hypocrit for throwing him off(that actually happened to me).Originally Posted by DrinkinMehStella Go to original post
Speaking as someone with levels in both, if I can bleed you out (and with the nobushi that is easier than I like, not so much with peacekeeper for me but I'm not the biggest fan of guardbreaks when I have better mobility),if you get the kill you get the kill. I generally try not to and I said sorry when it happened in a place I didn't know was a ledge and I hit a heavy attack because it darn well looked like I spent the round backing them into that corner, at the same time if I have had to cgb you a couple of times, don't get salty if I decide to hell with it and push you off.Originally Posted by CrazyJuan1977 Go to original post
