It's the most frustrating thing when there is clearly a long list of really broken thing, from class balance to technical things that just makes a potentially great game absolutely **** and nearly a waste of time.
In this day and age, developers mostly try to be very transparent and open, its all about community for most.... yet Ubisoft takes 4x as long to release updates and they are dead silent in between. I am not saying they should take the **** storm of stupid comments from the forums into account, but TELL US wtf they are working on and doing... not knowing when or if something so glaringly broken and out of touch is getting fixed soon is the worst.
It's sad to see a developer admit defence is a bit too strong as an offensive tool and then in the same interview claim that revenge in a duel is fine😂
No mention on the balance of attack speed and his approach to parry issues was disturbing.
Come on UBI, you need to tinker with the core of the game. Your little fixes will just make the game mechanics even more convoluted.
Some good stuff in the interview too, so at least they Seem to have an idea about some of the issues.
But it's a problem sometimes when developers don't play their own game at very High level. No idea if id they do, but some of the stuff in that interview hinted at a patch approach that will be aimed at newer people.
Also, they need different patches for console and pc, instead of a ****ty compromise - the meta is not the same.

That interview confirmed a lot of what I thought, and I'm glad to hear them call out some specific things (like Debuff Resistance affecting guard break counters, Revenge stats giving too much benefit, etc.). The answer on their P2P system also jived with what I figured, and I liked his response about Revenge mode in duels.Originally Posted by Ivarr.Bygunn Go to original post
The only thing I'm concerned about is them overtuning the detriment of running out of stamina, and some classes being able to abuse that state too much. Otherwise, really interesting interview.
Dont like what iam reading:

The gameplay is really dull, really really dull. But as always lately, developers dont seem to know their own game. Best is probably to uninstall and never look back.
Dumb decision tbh by me, i knew in beta that the game was really stale at higher levels, yet i bought it. Oh well. Cool game otherwise, with a super potential.
But this is how it is nowadays. But i shouldnt be surpirsed since at the same time, ubisoft doesnt really make good gameplay in their games.
I agree with the developers that defence should be strong of the game would just become a spamfest.
I do strongly disagree however that defence can lead directly to damage, which is the main reason turtling pays off. Even with strong defence, if you cannot kill your opponent through defence you will have to risk attacks.
