I tried to express the least fun to experience while progressing with the game, but I do not think this game suits me, I uninstalled for the 2nd time. Although it is short.
I am a solo player, but I should have known to decide better before buying. I do not mean to insult or encouraging unrest. But this is how I feel with the game, the game is fun and new, but I am stuck progressing, and it is the worst feeling to get insulted after being comboed hard or getting thrown off cliff in matter of seconds.
Thank you!
Hi KeraSarung.
Sorry to hear you are having problems /genericgreeting
Do you get angry or sad? Whenever I feel these emotions after being 4v1ed, I try to think how I could have changed the situation. There are some cases where you can learn from what just happened. When fighting against a Heavy, try to stay well clear of any drops. When fighting against fast heroes, try to dodge AND black at the same time. If your dodge is too early, sometimes your block is fast enough.
Instead of trying to blame the game, others or yourself, try to learn from the experience. This way you get better. Think, "Okay, this guy just killed me by doing the same thing over and over again. how will I handle this next time?" If you can;t be good at the game, try to be good at reading people, or bluffing. Play mind games. Disengage halfway through the fight and run away, look for a ladder, a ledge, and mix things up. Get your opponent out of his comfort zone. Each and every battle is an opportunity to better yourself. And while following this advice won;t make you better in just one game, you might find yourself losing a little less each day, to the point where it may even be 50/50.

unfortunately I have progressed to 3 rep/prestige, I rested for 2 weeks.
regarding bluffing or luring opponent to make mistake 1st, you might be able to do it easily, but I am not, I did not know if I have to wait for animation to stop so that I can dodge, even if I try to stop my attack, my character just proceed attacking instead of stopping. I have progressed this far without knowing how to ever feel the buttons.
All I feel is regret, that I bough an expensive game that I do not know how to play. If I do not want to feel regret I have to get back to the game, in which I do not force myself, but then when I get to play this game again, this expensive game irritates me again, therefore the mixed feeling. All personal, but this really put me down, I made mistake.
moreover I have uninstalled the game anyways, but why am I still reading the forum. It is a mixed feelings, I want to know why dis I get rekt hard and taunted at brutally.
Mate, I am pretty old and my had-eye coordination is not what it used to be. So I am at a disadvantage to younger players / or players who can use mechanics, which I cannot. So I adapt. The best thing in this game is, that I can use my own weaknesses and turn them into strengths. I dodge more. I try to avoid ledges or position myself in a manner, that a failed attempt by my opponent could mean I drop him off. They tend to be more cautious in these situations. Best is to train with bots or friends. Get to know the maps, as well. This is crucial. You know the spots to be and to avoid.
Turn you weakness into a strength, and you will shine.
Unfortunately I'm on PC, so I cannot befriend you. However, if you do not like to train and work for it, than the game has truly been the wrong purchase. I am sorry for that, mate. I know it sucks, when realizing your last purchase wasn't a good buy.
I hope you give yourself and your skills another chance.
I do not search for reasons, but do want to share all my though, and how I get upset that I can't progress, I do not have friends who have interest in playing this game, therefore I play solo as the game is unique, but little that I realize that this is a stiff fighting game (hybrid). Used to train with other type of game with button mashing, which is why I find the buttons and slow animations irritating.
you have to know; that I really see the direction of the attack, and I flick my analog to the direction faster even before the attack comes, the guard wont register! (why? because I did an action before blocking). apparently after executing a single light attack, I cant block, unless I get hit twice.
if For Honor team have the records of my gameplay since February, they can see how much I transition into rage quitter, from a clean player. mainly because, I tried to block, I tried to counter guardbreaks, I tried to evade (for some reason the opponent's is like ghost, able to reach without stepping), all those buttons wont register!
I'll try not to feed into this too much-
It's tough man- but while P2P could be partially to blame, it kinda sounds like you just have to get back in the rhythm.
You've probably got poor timing right now. Taking a 2 week break from this game would probably nearly reset you to new player status- but it's most likely that you need to spend some time with the bot and get the timings right. I found that, initially, I was reacting on my own internal timer, or the moment they attacked. The idea that I was reacting too fast annoyed the piss out of me. It was tough stifling that internal metronome, but you have to adapt to the timing of your character and then your opponent's.
That said, it's got a steep learning curve and each day you're not playing- the opponents are getting tougher (especially with matchmaking the way it is -_-) and not all games are for everyone. This is especially true for this game.
Edit- playing on PC myself, but if they have sensitivity settings, you could try bumping that up. Helped me a lot- got me killed a lot initially, but eventually did wonders.
Sounds to me like you are a victim of a sub-par connection from Ubisoft servers, as are many players (including myself.) This issue was mentioned during the Twitch broadcast last week. The issue causes sluggish response to commands and makes blocking nearly impossible. It is only a matter of fractions of a second, but those fractions of a second mean that you are trying to react to something that already happened as far as the server is concerned.
