So I went to gamestop the other day to preorder the gold edition because I want it all!
The dude at GS said they are out of gold edition preorders. Was kind of surprised so I just preordered standard edition...
(reasoning for choosing GameStop and not elsewhere is I had a gift card I needed to spend there)
Here's the question...
If I go get standard edition Tuesday, then at whatever point buy season pass, is there anything I will be missing out on for content in the long run?
Might grab season pass on release when I pick up my standard copy...
Please advise!!!! Thanks.
As far as I know the Gold edition doesn't actually come with extra content. Just the season pass. The extra content (weapon, vehicle and cosmetics bonus items) come with the Deluxe edition (or the season pass itself). You do get the deluxe edition items with the Gold edition but all the Gold adds to the deal is the Season pass. If it's anything like other games there will be an option to upgrade a normal version to the deluxe one (prolly in the in-game store) and then you can just buy the season pass separate.
If you have the standard then buy a season pass later you will just be missing the Deluxe edition stuff. Which is:
The Wilderness rifle
The Huntsman motorbike
3 emblems
3 weapon camos
3 character customization items
XP booster
Thank you very much. That's the info I needed! Like I said, I want it all! So I guess what makes most sense is to cancel disc preorder and use my store credit towards a psn card from game stop and get the gold from psn then...Originally Posted by PewpyPants Go to original post
Thanks guys! Saved me from making a mistake! I want all that extra content like mentioned, the rifle, the character items... thanks!!!
Does the gold version come with a physical item? I've gotten "standard" games with codes for the digital content for skins, weapons, maps or missions that come with the gold.Originally Posted by Dirty_Walter Go to original post
It amazes me anyone wants to play fast and furious on a ghost recons game. I'd be slightly interested in the helicopter shot down dlc, but only depending on how long the dlc is.
But to add something of worth, another thing the deluxe edition and gold edition has over the standard edition iirc, is they both have an XP booster. 5% permanent along with an unknown time temperary 50% to player and 25% XP to squad members. I think it's two hours.
