I think for the fixed wing I am just being overly OCD because I am a real-world pilot. So officially on the record I'd probably have to say that for most folks the fixed wing controls will be okay, also. It just bugs me that the aircraft stays rolled when you let off the controls LOL. But that's just me.

The helicopter, though, I find VERY easy to fly and makes getting around the map a lot easier. If I had to change one thing about the helicopter controls, maybe a little less exaggeration on vertical controls. I find it a chuckle to be hovering a few feet above the ground, barely tap the CTRL key and the chopper just slams down and bounces. So much for easing off the collective to make a gentle landing LOL.
were using mouse and keyboard for helicopter??? i find it impossible to fly lol and the plane is hard too

Mouse and keyboard are the only options for PC players, yeah, which is why I had to come to grips that the controls aren't really that bad. Compared to my flight yoke and pedals the controls are horrible, but for keyboard/mouse I found it a lot easier than other games I have played. I do wish that vehicles gave support for joysticks though. The thing that gets me with the plane is the fact that the plane doesn't level off.

In real life, if I am in a bank, and I let go of the controls, the plane doesn't stay banked. It levels off. That's by design and it is for safety. In the game the plane doesn't level off if I let off the A or D key, so coming in for a landing it is crazy easy to clip a wing and crash which can be very frustrating. If nothing else, my wish for plane controls would be to have the plane go level when not on the controls. Can it be done? Yep. The helicopter already does this. Take your hand off the controls and the chopper levels off and hovers. Planes can't hover, so vertical navigation (up and down) has to always be managed (since pitch is not simulated in this game) . BUT ... lateral navigation (right and left) could be a LOT easier if they just made it so the wings leveled off when not holding the A or D keys.

Again ... just my opinion because I am inhibited by the experience of aviation in the real world, which makes getting used to the dynamics of "aviation" in an arcade game an absolute nightmare most of the time. It's not that the controls are bad ... it's just me having to fight off real world habits to manage an arcade game LOL.

You know if you hold down shift key until you get correct altitude. Then while still pressing shift key press W to get speed. Keep holding those keys until the helicopter almost goes into a dive (small dip animation) then release W and keep holding shift key. This makes it work like a charm. Clumsy yes but not impossible to use at all. Just pratice and you will see.

Yup! I use that method religiously. Just wish it worked a bit faster so I didn't have to get so far up to make it work. No too bad for normal flying, but when dealing with timed missions it can be tricky. Fortunately I can still make the times easily by lifting way up then diving for the second radio.
