I hope he is fake, roman themed character does not really fit in the actual for honor timeline and does not make sense

Alot of ideas for this class

Perhaps something new like a net and trident from ancient roman gladiator times? The kit might play similar to a Valkyrie's but perhaps more counter-offensive. The net can be used to tangle an enemy for free hits, and perhaps knock the opponent down as a special ability when his weapon is parried. It would be an interesting concept since there aren't many video games that explore this weapon combination too often. Heavily based off the Retiarius gladiator.

The only other thing that I could think of that would be different would be the Scissor's equipment for the centurion. I'm not a big fan of the load out itself, but at least it would be extremely different from everything else that we already see in game.

I hope he gets a Crupellarius armor set or reskin with his kit. That is probably the only thing that really fits the odd roman-medieval look going for this class.

Please no more counter-attackers ubisoft. The idea of a class being based around staring at the opponent until they attack you is terrible, because what they're going to do instead is stare at you until you attack them.

This entire game is historically inaccurate, btw the centurions are referenced in the campaign observables.

I hope he has a gladius and long shield, like an actual Roman Centurion would. I also wish his helmet would have the sideways plume because I've always loved those.

I hope he has the Gladius and Scutum, too. He should be the tankiest character in the game with a lot of counter-attack options with his large shield and thrusting sword.

Though, he IS a Centurion, not a Legionnaire. It is possible that he will have a Spatha instead. I hope he doesn't have a buckler, though, that'd be dumb. Letting him two hand the spatha would be a little pitiful, too as then he's basically just another Warden.

I think the best thing they could do is represent him like a legionnaire with the gladius and scutum who focuses on either countering with the gladius after blocking with the scutum or bashing with the scutum to secure gladius thrusts.

Also, I wouldn't pay close attention to where he is located on the character selection page because currently he is in the Vanguard column and the Ninja is in the Heavy column.... so... that should be self explanatory.

I'm not really up on my roman tactics, but weren't the large shields only used in legion formations and the like?

I love the idea of the net that some people suggested, but I don't see it working mechanically.

I'm also doubting sword and shield, since we have the warlord.

Personally I'd love to see a gladius pilum combo, Hilde from Soul Calibur had a lot of moves I really liked conceptually.

Half of this game uses unrealistic weapon set ups that are out of context. The Warlord's shield and sword only work well in a viking shield wall. The peacekeeper and berserker's weapons were never actually used. It's a sword and parrying dagger and the sword is used for thrusting while the dagger takes the place of a shield. The shugoki doesn't even make much sense. Those weapons were used by regular sized men, they didn't need to be massive like they make it seem. But they also weren't really used often.

If they wanted to make a gladiator they should have and most likely would have named him Gladiator. Give him a net and a trident, or another famous gladiator combo. They called him a Centurion and I'm guessing they'll equip him with Centurion weapons if not Legionnaire. A Centurion with a tower shield and a gladius would be extremely different from the Warlord. The tactics involved in fighting with the tower shield and gladius would resemble the Warlord's headbutt stab, but that's it. The Centurion's focus would be disrupting his targets with the tower shield and then stabbing with the gladius. That's pretty much what they did. This class would be very unique in that it would be the first class that focused primarily on its shield-use as oppose to the other shielders who use the shield as a secondary weapon and mainly for defensive purposes.
