    Open World Map

With Ghost Recon Wildlands being an open world title is the whole map available from the start of the game?

From my understanding, yes. You should be able to go anywhere and tackle any mission regardless of difficulty from the start.

Yeah because the main point of the open world game is being able to go anywhere from the get go

I have seen individuals with early access skip the first area and go right into other areas and start from there mainly because everyone has played the first area in the beta so they wanted to stream new content for their viewers before launch. So, based off what I have seen, yes you can go straight to a 5 skull area and complete it when you first sign in. I know I will probably go in order because I am just like that.

Yep. In respect to taking down the cartel members (26 I think) you can do missions in any order. I would suspect that the final boss mission however, is only unlocked after doing all the others first.

Yes, certain bosses require 3-4 "Underbosses" to be killed before you have access to their missions so in the end you will have to do a majority of the map in order to complete the "story" so to speak. If you viewed the cartel "Map" in the beta it showed you that. SO while you can approach the cartel in any order you will still be required to complete a majority of the territories in order to get access to the bigger, tougher bosses.

So, there are 21 regions on the map, with each containing a boss and the cartel king makes 22 total. Then who are the other 4?

Some regions have 2 bosses. Like ITACUA which has that couple.

I've ventured around the borders of Itacua and been able to freely enter all the provinces that border it.

My preference has been to attack the game province by province, making sure I grab all the skill points, weapon, and accessory points, before moving on. I do think that progressing along with the story in that province is the best way to go though, as the story takes you through the major sites of the province so you can save yourself from having to hit a particular region or site twice.

    They count as 1 boss.
