    Too fast

    hey,

so im here to rant about about attack speeds. i just got out of a training match vs a lvl 2 valkyrie bot and im using a peacekeeper.

the spear, its just too fast. once it starts jabbing at you and keeps changing directions there's no way in hell I can keep up with it.

now for my question, is the bot cheating and stabbing faster than humans to keep it competative ?

obligatory snarky and/or trolling 'i really dont understand how you could have trouble blocking' comments aside, yeh i know, you can do it with one hand blindfolded.

    so, how ?

The Peacekeeper has faster attacks than the valk.

Edit: To answer your question: It's possible to react to it. Fight it a couple of times and it feels like it's in slowmotion.
    Or fight a Pk instead.

Hahaaaa....this is pure gold A pk complaining about the speed of Valky...
But to the topic, i faced a few people in 1v1 that easily blocked the first and when i went for the infamos whiff 1st hit the speedy 2nd one, they parried it. So i assume it is just training.

I get OP, the Val is fast but it's not that that u couldn't block her, it's because of her animations, she does her light with her arm kept closed to her body, although u have the visual cue, but animations also help, u will notice, Warlord's lights is the same; Orochi's lights is also fast, but he/she swings the sword widely on the side, thus it is easier for u to react. Anw, keep on practicing so it slows down (not like slow motion but I like the idea )

Its all timing my man. You are playing PeaceKeeper, the most cancerous light attack spammer in the game. Valk is nothing compared to her. Just keep practicing and learn to watch the character rather than just the red icons. You will be able to see what stance they are in before they actually do it and you will know which side attack is coming from. Its very easy. Almost....too easy.

Not to sound like a total ****** but.
You have to learn to guard properly.

You can literally dash away from her attacks even if you are getting hit mid combo.. And her revovery is so slow you can counter attack right after she finishes and there is little she can do about it.
When Valk ever lands a shield bash. if she ever goes for the leg sweep, simply dash away and you will avoid it and also get a free attack on her.
Keep your main guard up since her best poke is her dashing poke. and even still valk's light attacks deal very little damage.
You can also as pk dance around her shoulder bash and also get a free attack.
Her standing light attack is easy to see.

i think there's been a misunderstanding here. i didnt come here to complain about the PK being UP. i know for a fact that its a top tier class to play. also, i'm rep 5 now, and im not implying that means anything regarding my skill level, just that ive played it for a while.

i wanted to know if i'm just terrible at blocking and i guess that has been confirmed. the comment from B.00N was valuable regarding the animations. i just tried it vs Orochi which has the same speed and i have no problem blocking that.

and ofcourse there always has to be one guy telling me its really really easy just to throw some salt on it. well done.

Valkyrie's TOP attack is exactly the same speed as PK's attacks (15 frames). Please don't complain about one without the other.

I think Valkyrie's "chaining" speed is improved in the last batch, so I am not sure who chains faster now, Valkyrie or PK. The first hit, however is exactly the same speed at 15 frames. I can only imagining the chains are faster (otherwise, what's the point).

Valkyrie is extremely hard to block, I think her jump attack might even be faster than PK's. I know I can reaction parry PK most of the time but not Valkyrie. MAYBE it's because I am used to PK's animation, I don't know.

But either way, Valkyrie is not slow by any measure.

Record yourself getting hit when you 'should've' blocked - ie. when you think you get hit despite blocking in time to stop an incoming attack - and watch the footage back frame by frame. You'll see what you're doing wrong. All attacks in this game are slow enough to be blocked. If you don't block, you either derped or didn't react quick enough. I've come to this conclusion by missing a block of the Orochi AoE by 1 single frame. Since then I've stopped blaming the game and accepted 99% of weird or 'bs' activity in the game is just me doing it wrong in some way.
