So I have seen a few discussions on the upcoming new characters, thoughts on if there will be a new faction, how it will fit etc... I saw someone mention that new characters should be their own"mercenary"faction. I think thats a cool idea but wanted to expand on it.
I assume we will have to use steel to unlock the new classes, so here's a thought. For the first week or so, new classes belong to the "mercenary"faction. Once that week is up, the players of the faction (knights, vikings, samurai) that has the most buys/unlocks of the NEW class absorb that class into their ranks.
Say the knights unlock the ninja more than any other faction, boom, the ninja class is now a member of the knights. Essentially, the faction who pays the most for these mercenaries, via steel unlocks, gain a new class with their ranks, maybe some cool customization.
Obviously every other faction would still be able to play whoever, like it is now, but this could be a cool wrinkle.
Thoughts? And I understand there are a lot of issues that need fixing, but can we look past that in this thread please.
Imo the heroes will be released in 2 type
Mercenary that every faction can use (we can use every faction salvages to upgrade them)
Specific hero for each faction : for example: Warhammer wielding knight and Centurion for Knight, ninja and dual katana swordmaster for Samurai, 2 handed bigass sword wielder for Viking
We don't need mercenary faction. Just mercenary heroes.
