Why Is Everyone Picking On Ubisoft?

I guess I don't understand why everyone is crying and whining all the time about Ubisoft and their games. They make great games. Everyone on these forums are upset about dishonorable kills and guard break, why? If you want an honorable fight, play duels, and position yourself where you can not be tossed off a bridge etc. Your opponent guard breaking all the time? Try a counter. I'm playing elimination and people are teaming up on me , come on people its 4v4. If you can't win Get Gud. Learn to play the game, and quit whining about team ups and the game systems. Yeah I get it you paid $60 dollars or more for this game, well so did everyone else so get over your self. Maybe Ubisoft should include a coupon for a free box of tissues for all of you whiners out their that keep buying their games. Here's an idea, take the time you would normally spend whining on the forums to actually practice getting better at the game.

    For starters: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xNter0oEYxc

Also, many times their games are bug-ridden and they fail to address or fix issues in a timely manner, if ever at all. They like to fill their games with dumb microtransactions and get you to pay more for content on top of already paying full-price for a game. In addition to constantly promising one thing then delivering an inferior product, they overmarket their games. IMHO they have way too many people on their payroll that they don't need that don't actually service the actual core of the games they put out. People also don't like Uplay with its mandatory online DRM.

So people complain about game not working due to constant connection errors and your solution is to git gud?

You probably need to go back to primary school for either reading comprehension or basic logic and common sense. Either case you definitely need to go back to basic education.

You have to remember, no game company ever escapes criticism. BLizzard recieves quite a bit for all their games but they still go strong.

Ubisoft's games were great. At least the Assassins creed Black Flag, Syndicate and Rainbow six siege were great/are great.

Position yourself where you can't be thrown off a ledge you say? How do you propose I do that when some duel maps trap you on a bridge, cliff side, or tower where your never more than a few feet from 3 ledges at any time? We're talking about a game that disconnects players from an unacceptable amount of matches due to a very unstable pvp hosting system. There is a revenge system that allows a character like Orochi for example to get a kill with 3 light attacks with the right gear. You have peacekeepers spamming light attacks that require a reaction time that just simply isn't possibility for a human to achieve in order to defend against. Then there is the matchmaking which regularly pairs high level players with lower skill ones and always boots players back to the main menu if any minor issue happens like a few players leave after a round has finished. There are so many broken aspects of For Honor that Ubisoft deserves every bit Harsh criticism that's coming their way. They certainly have a lot of work to do to get this game into a state it should have been for release.

When you say..."you spent 60$ on a product that doesn't work for you." Like actually doesn't work. They should just "get over it" and move on? That is exactly the reason why companies like Ubisoft get away with robbing it's customers base. Because no one should ever expect to buy things that actually work right? Is that what you are saying here? That is such a simple minded perspective to have. Or are you saying they are complaining because they suck at the game and their for hate Ubisoft?

Ubisoft generates so much hate for one and two reason that directly correspond with each other. They come up with these brilliant game ideas. 1 and 2. Launch them terribly undercooked, half-baked and undone and the masses get sick by it. Why, because they spent their hard earned money on a game that they can't even play. Imagine buying a 60,000$ car, that doesn't brake. Well it does. But then it doesn't. And lets not mention, sometimes, the windows don't roll down. Or you know...sometimes the car just doesn't start. Would you get mad about that. Or would you just get over it and go buy another one? LOL

Here's a few grievences just off the top of my head:

    1) They refuse to implement dedicated servers, which is what this game desperately needs.
    2) They are uncommunicative on the forums and have basically zero social presence, making players feel ignored.
    3) They can't even keep their own forum clear of bots.
    4) They ran a beta test before the launch that wasn't indicative of the final game build, missing characters and with different stats.
    5) Did I mention their godawful server problems? Because that's really the main issue.

I gues he would buy another car, from same producer, with the same problems and still kiss their *** because the car looks awesome, it does not work but hey, it looks so awesone, and then go on to buy another one.

OP it is widely known that this game is bad, but maybe less widely known that it is so bad that the faulty release caused uncertainty and selloffs with investors, prompting a stock dip. but based off of your defense of this game, im going to go out on a limb and guess that correlations like that are beyond your ability to comprehend clearly. maybe you have a differing point of view that is fact based, but your opinions dont seem very grounded. its pretty darn hard to "git gud" when 90 percent of a player's time is spent in the menu or reading error codes.

if you play on console, and you are one to save your 1 refund per year, if you just get a refund on games that Ubisoft releases where the multiplayer is faulty or just plain doesnt work, you could easily need to get 2 refunds every six months. i had to get one in november, and another in february, both times because of broken multiplayer on launch. if i had bought the division on launch, i probably would have wanted a refund for it as well.

i have to go all the way back to Farcry Primal to find an Ubisoft game that I purchased where I didnt ask for my money back, and DING DING DING, it has no multiplayer.

If you cant spot the trend, have your lenses checked
