I'm having this problem on PC. Yesterday R6Siege had the same problem, but its not the first time.Originally Posted by Ubi-Iudex Go to original post
They wont. In Rainbow 6 Siege I've lost a lot of challenges for similar problems and never got the stuff. They should give us the rewards for the week if they don't fix the challenges.Originally Posted by InvaderQ Go to original post
This is the least they should do.Originally Posted by ThiagoPDantas Go to original post
The purpose of challenges is to create excitement and keep people playing even after achieving 100%. Defective challenges drive people away with the frustration and annoyance they create.
I am a perfect example of the effects of defective challenges... even after finishing the game to 100% (every secondary, every side quest, every single thing) I still kept playing religiously at least a few hours a week to do the challenges. Then they started introducing new "broken" challenges. At first it was frustrating, then we got 2 broken one in the same week and I said "f*** it!" Haven't played since. I could not even motivate myself to buy the expansion pack, it just didn't feel "worth it" any more. I still prowl the forums when bored, because I really like the game. But this chain of broken stuff will eventually disillusion even the biggest fans.
I have to agree. Playing a game you love is like a drug fix, you keep going back for more....but when it starts to go wrong like this you eventually throw it down in disgust. Then after a few days not playing the habit is broken and you are no longer drawn back to it. You move on to something else. I don't think they have any idea what all these bugged leaderboards and challenges are doing to their hard core fans.....driving them away in droves is the answer.
The sad thing is that these are trivial things to fix, when compared to the core game. It blows my mind that they are allowing these problems to last as long as they have, and worse... to cause more of them with newer but sloppily designed challenges.
It is almost like spending a small fortune on a Ferrari and then skimping by using the cheapest tires, oil and radiator fluid. Eventually it will ruin your Ferrari and waste your investment.
