Game should not be balanced to 1v1. The game was not sold as a dueling MK game. It was sold as a squad based objective PvP game.
In 4v4 conq is not a top tier character due to his lack of damage and hence lack of presence in team fights while simultaneously not having very strong disables for a heavy.
Personally I feel that if having a very small amount of safe chip damage justifies every single one of my other attacks being slow, weak, garbage then I'd be happy to give up that chip damage to have the rest of my kit on par with the PK's.
Give us 12 frame light attacks, a 9 frame high damage zone attack, and the most damaging GB in the game and we'll gladly make our shield bash punishable.

In 4v4 Dominion all you have to do is go to the other side of the map and sit at their zone (A or C) and delay the other team so they will never cap their closest zone.
In Elimination if you end up against 2 or 3 you have a real chance and if they give you revenge you are unkillable.
In Conflict it is the same as elimination, you are constantly getting revenge and when the enemy gets revenge all you have to do is spam shield bash until their revenge ends.
I would say that in 4v4 is where the Conqueror shines the best.
Just check my video where I hold their zone for the whole game and tell me conqueror is bad at 4v4.

He doesn't need buffs - certainly not to shield bash - he needs changes.
I'm a little saddened that we're going to see conq nerfs before they overhaul the defensive ********, as it directly contributes to his strength, but hopefully it will mean shifting some of his power out of shield bash spam and into other things like his lights and heavy damage (12 and 23, the lowest in the game).
He has some funny little tricks to keep him strong anyway, though most of them I'm sure are bugs. In any event, shield bash being unpunishable and spammable makes for a terrible gameplay experience for both parties, even if it is wholly reactable.

Wow, how much stamina do those guys have? My Conqueror runs out of steam after 2-3 shield bash mixups, most of which whiff because the opponent dodged. Those guys you mention must be on steroids.
I really wish they would nerf the defence and give the Conqueror more offensive potential. I fear they will just nerf his defence and break him with that. It is still a mistery to me how one could create the Conq. and after that the Warlord and think that this is a comparible result (after all they are both considered "heavy" and "medium"). If I understood the stream yesterday right they nerf now the Allblock activation time for allblock stance. With that they just made a underwhelmling and infelxible class even more so. I hope they take their time to rework the Conq. carefully.
