I played a little Dominion vs AI last night just because I wanted to reach prestige 9 level 20, get my gold material and finalize my character's look.

Every single match there was a guy AFK farming.

I played 6 Dominions and left at the end of each one so not to feed them, but they just kept matching me with them.

Honestly though, outside of the vs AI I haven't seen these guys.

I wish Ubisoft would fix the actual issues that are killing this game instead of going after people who are just XP farming in AI matches.

Yeah, I agree. First offence resulting in a warning is basically letting these cheaters get away with it. 2 weeks of AFK farming is potentially a ton of unearned XP/Steel/Gear. First offence (assuming sufficient proof) should be a warning and all characters reset.

Also, it would be nice to hear some information on what steps that Ubisoft is taking to correct the flaw in their game that's allowing this problem to happen in the first place. These cheaters are capitalizing on some pretty poor design decisions.

    Stuff like:
-Make it so that you must manually confirm ready and select your character, otherwise you get booted back to the world map
-Reward based on activity in the match. Zero points = zero reward.

Unfortunately, as much of a fan of the game as I am, this was too much for me. It's simple to boot people for repeditive movements or not moving for more than 1 minute, nearly every game released these days has it. I have made the decision to return the game today, too many people afk ruining the game, then it takes way too long for games to start back up after they are over, I didn't pay 60 dollars to get rekt by 4 people and then have to wait in a lobby for 3 minutes. That said, I really really enjoyed the campaign, this is an excellent game, I think that Ubisoft outdid themselves, I am really really looking forward to the sequel, and a much more expansive campaign with replay value.

    why not see for yourself

Ubisoft is dedicated to creating a level playing field in our games, and the full For Honor development team is committed to constantly act against individuals trying to gain advantages from using hacks or bots. You can find below last week’s post on the subject.

    http://forhonor.ubisoft.com/game/en-...g-in-for-honor

This week we wanted to give your more visibility about our policy against players who are “AFK Farming” the For Honor Battlefields. For those unfamiliar with the practice, players are able to go AFK (away from keyboard) and keep their in-game character moving throughout a match (ex. tying a rubber band on the control stick), garnering end-game rewards and progression without actually playing. The “farming” aspect comes about when these players use this technique frequently to gain a large amount of these rewards.

Because this kind of behavior negatively affects the player experience of others, it has become a top priority for us. As such, we will be sanctioning all the players who have been found to be using AFK Farming repeatedly.

Depending on the situation, and the existence of additional sanctions already on a player’s account, we can apply different degrees of sanctions.

1st offense will trigger a warning, then, repeated violations may result in a Ubisoft account suspension applicable on the game (temporary or permanent).

Actual disciplinary action depends on the severity of the behavior and shall be decided at Ubisoft’s discretion, on a case by case basis.

Please understand that no details about the state of our investigation into this matter will be disclosed at any stage. Rest assured that sanctions will only be applied if there is clear evidence.

Starting early next week, warning sanctions will be applied to all first time offenders.

A BIG thanks to all who reported toxic behaviors from the game or customer support website!

In addition to the sanctions, we are currently working on improved methods of identifying and preventing AFK Faming.

As a reminder, our Code of Conduct can be found here:

    Please FIX the farming issue!!!!!

Just recorded a video of God.Tier.Meme AFK FARMING in the spawn area, running in circles. It's ridiculous that you continue allow this. When will this be addressed? Almost EVERY AI mode game I join has at least one AKF farmer now!

Let me know when I can upload a video if that's what it takes...

    Disappointed...

An easy fix would be to give no rewards for players with a score of zero in vs AI games. Players that do AFK farming always have zero score. Anyone actually playing would at least get some points. If no rewards are given to players with zero score for the match, there will be no incentive for them to do AFK farming. This will be more effective than any report system or punishments.

    Game thinks I'm cheating?

I have received a message 2 times now that says "we found inconsistencies with your gameplay.". Then I lost my rewards. What's that all about? All I was doing was playing skirmish. If you do good sometimes does the game think your cheating? Lol.

I would really like to see some Blizzard style punitive action taken against cheaters. 1st offense: 6month suspension of uplay account and for honor account voided, canceled. 2nd? permanent deletion of uplay account. Pending appeal for cases you feel deserve an exception of course. I truly feel like it's worth really dropping the hammer on cheaters. I quit playing the division pretty early because you guys couldn't get a handle on cheaters, and from what I've been told it's STILL a huge problem and not worth going back. I paid for the season pass and never saw a single expansion because of the terrible client-side decisions you guys made and with p2p I'm scared For Honor may end up in the same boat. It's time to send the cheaters a strong message. Sure they'll ddos the hell out of you in anger, but it's time to let cheaters know that they won't be tolerated.

I used to buy 3-6 shooters a year, Now I buy one every other year so I KNOW that they are malicious vandals that are undermining millions and millions of dollars in potential profits from me and most of my friends that try to avoid games rife with cheaters, hackers, botters, and such.

do it the World of warcraft way

Well why don't you do it the world of Warcraft way. They had a system in place where if you didn't leave the base you got kicked from the game. I'm sure you can come up with something if a player remains nonactive in base for 60 sec they get kicked or if they are running in the same direction for more then 60 seconds. an they should definitely loose all item and war assets. I'm surprised that you guys didn't think this was going to happen
