I played and really enjoyed the beta both in solo mode and with friends/family in co-op mode. The only way that I really enjoyed a tactical approach to this game is on Extreme difficulty with the Markers on the HUD turned off however, sync shot doesn't work with the markers turned off. This should be fixed, you should be able to coordinate with your AI teammates to take out targets simultaneously to eliminate multiple threats and avoid detection. Having the markers turned off should just mean that you don't see the sync shot numbers above the enemies head.
It's extremely difficult to utilize your AI teammates when you can't coordinate shots with them, they pretty much become useless as I found myself taking out targets alone the best that I could, then simply ordering my teammates to fire when situations got a bit hairy. I had to enable markers just to do the sync shot then I turned them back off. I don't like having all that information available to me as if I am an all knowing all seeing god in the game.
I was able to do missions with my friends with the HUD turned off. When I opened the tac-map I selected a mission and then my friends were prompted on their screens to either accept or decline the mission.Originally Posted by Ruazihtlab Go to original post
Turning the HUD off feels like a rushed feature. They probably added it after feedback that people didn't want markers.
Apart from sync shot not working there is also a problem when you have to choose which type of intel to get from a laptop, it still works but there is nothing on screen telling you that you have to pick, so it looks like a bug where your character is stuck in the hacking animation.
I agree wholeheartedly. This needs a fix ASAP. Hud customization was a great touch Ubisoft! After my experience with both betas, playing with no hud is the only way I (and perhaps many other people) will be able to enjoy the game.Originally Posted by The_Takeoff Go to original post

And finally, I believe there is an option to "ping" (aka, place a custom marker) on the map. This should be separated from all other makers as well. Would be helpful for those playing no hud to have a quick marker to refer to for whatever occasion.

I matchmade into someone else's session tonight, and I couldn't find out where the hell they were on the map. I was prompted to join a mission, and I did, and travelled to the mission, and they were nowhere to be found.
And that's with current standard HUD elements being on...
The markers section in the menu is over all waaaaay too general.
people wanted to not see the wallhack (red circles) and maybe the detection direction as well.
not eeeeeverything off. just those two things.
with MARKERS OFF you cant tell where you got shot from (or even IF you got shot, since the red flashes telling you where you were hit from are gone), you cant tell where your friends (or AIs) are, you cant see you hand placed marker (the white triangle) which is super important to navigate or coordinate, and no sync shot.
this feature, as i see it, is broken.
its so much fun NOT knowing where the enemies are, but disabling EVERYTHING else along just makes the game semi-functional and mostly - a hassle. an inconvenience.
We want a way to make the game more CHALLENGING. not more inconvenience.
