    Question for all Wardens/Ubisoft

So all you Warden mainers have you ever had your Crushing Counter....parried? I just had mine parried last night against an Orochi which kinda left me mentaly broken for a bit.

Has this happen to any of you? Is it supposed to be parried? Was it a bug? *crawls back under rock*

Considering any attack in the game can be parried, I can see it happening, but I'm just gonna chalk it up to dumb luck.
As a Warden main, that Counterstrike is ridiculously fast and unless you're fighting the best of the best, I don't ever see it getting parried consistently.

Do you mean the regular top light attack, or the actually block effect that counters an attack and hits for high damage? If the former, yeah, people expect it and watch for it because it is one of Wardens good openers. Had a LB parry it twice in a row once, that hurt.

If you're talking about the latter, I'm not sure that should be possible. Was this in 4v4? I've seen weird recovery times in 4v4s where Wardens will counter guard breaks after I block their zone, or someone will counter my guard break after I parry. I think it was found to be gear related. If it was 1v1 or 2v2, I'm intrigued.

"Ridiculously" being the key word. Warden needs a nerf.

It was elimination first round and he parried my Crushing Counter so he did not take any damage which left me dumbfounded.

Grab a friend and try to replicate this in a custom 1v1 without gear/feats/anything. I think the act of blocking via Crushing Counter should stagger your opponent long enough to guarantee the hit, just like an Orochi top light combo or a Warden side light combo. But again, if it was Elimination, there's the possibility that gear/feats/something is impacting the normal flow of the game, allowing the opponent to recover fast enough.

Ill have to try that.. But in round one of EMIL your first feat is still locked, and gear doesnt affect staggering or recover time of being hit, to my knowledge. But yes i shall do some testing.

BTW i got a xbox recording of it, just gotta figure out how to post it.

I don't think gear should be affecting recovery time, but I've heard reports that it does. I've also seen Wardens in 4v4s counter GBs after having their zone blocked, which they shouldn't be able to do. Along with other classes countering GBs after a parry, which they shouldn't be able to do.

    Something is up in 4v4s.

The crushing counter is unblock able and because it is a counter attack, it can not be married.

Remember, when you are attacking, you need to recover from your attack. Its like a global cooldown.

While recovering, you can not parry.

Thats what i thought but it seems its either a bug or he was cheating. In the recording i can clearing see him parry animation and all.

It'd be nice to hear Ubisoft shed some light.
