As much as I agree with your sentiment, I can understand why some players are upset about people who AFK.

Players who AFK in AI matches are gaining prestige, steel and items for no effort, while players who play the game properly are putting the effort in and falling behind the AFK players.

Players who AFK in Player vs Player are obviously making the game unfair for their team mates who have to play with one less player on their team.

When PPL start doing this is the PvP matches, and why shouldn't they, instead of 250 XP and 20 steel, they will get 400 XP and 35 steel for a pvp match. Then maybe something will get done. Personally, I can't wait to see my first 4v4 pvp match with 3 AFKers. Already had 1 with 1 this AM

No, that is not why some people are upset with AFK. And why would you agree with that sentiment? This issue is cancer and he is probably part of it. It's not about being fair, I could care less about that. Someone already pointed out the problem. When they join a game and there is at least 1 AFKer, they are then forced to carry them for the rest of the match or leave. That is disruptive behavior and affects others, so no, it is not OK. This isn't about laissez-faire, this is about wasting other peoples time.

ONE PLAYER? haha you jest, iv had multiple matches with different groups where i was the only one not rubberband dancing in spawn. i quit and join a new group of lowlifes

The answer is simple, Ubisoft should do they work properly, if they don't want people going AFK for "X" reason, they should implement an auto-kick feature or a "Vote to kick" option.

By not doing so, Ubisoft is Approving this behaviour.

There is a feature to auto kick if your afk too long. They are using a rubberband or other means to bypass it. Which is an exploit and should be punishable with a ban.

Ever heard the phrase....Your gear score isnt high enough to play with us.... followed by a kick. It will get abused and will be worse than it is now. I'd rather deal with the xp exploiters than the elitist groups that will vote to kick you because your not max gear score.

While i disagree that will be the case, as I've seen level 1s kick reputation/high gear guys asses, i would still rather have the threat of that over people AFKing and ruining the game for others just to get easy xp.

Also fine, here's another idea. Have the game kick a player if they don't input a NEW controller command after, say, a minute or 2. That way the people can't just rubberband anymore, and still leaves some leeway for a short afk moment.
