Yup... dodge backwards is a better option than trying to use all block.
Anyone who thinks a Conq's all block stance is usable let alone "so busted it transcends the pk issues" has clearly NEVER played conq.
The Warlord's all block is actually pretty solid. The conq's is utterly useless.
If you had time to get into "all block" then you had more than enough time to parry for a much bigger benefit.

The best advice I have is play to your character's strengths, especially where he has an advantage over the other, I have been in a situation many times where I have shown very well that my light will beat the other guy's heavy to the punch, it is not my fault if he still stands there throwing heavies and playing to my strengths where the smart play is to make some distance and to try to punish any attempt I make to close it.
I read a lot of people complaining but the thing is yes I have bleed but it doesn't come for free or anywhere near as easily as the nobushi (not a slam on them at all, I plan to put time into them as well), yes I am quick in the stand and mix it up game, my light will beat your heavy and if I am quick enough on the button it will beat your light but I don't want to do that often because it takes me three hits and bleed to do to you what you can do to me in one hit and eventually, if I don't dart back to give me a chance to regain stamina, I am going to get gassed and be relatively easy pickings to any good player., so the players I struggle against are those who make me pay for trying to get close in the same way each time. A lot of it also comes down to how well you know your character and how to use them, people might complain that a good peacekeeper can get deflects, I can deflect six to seven heavy attacks out of ten and most I don't get the deflect I still dodge because I spent hours getting my rear end handed to me by a bot trying to and hours more figuring out how to manage it against someone who isn't fighting to programmed in rules. The time you take learning your character shows and if you have problems with one character in particular, you can always set up custom matches against that character. And if deflects are an issue, well I have had them shut down as well, there was one player who started a spinning attack, I would have deflected it except for the fact it was cancelled and I was suddenly knocked out having taken a hit from the other side, and that is still one of my favourite battles because of everything that lead up to that and because the finish made me say wow, damnit I lost but wow that was a good play.
Can people stop spreading this outright lie? PK light attacks do 17 damage, most heavies hit for 30-35. Also there is nothing you can do to punish a PK when she's out of stamina since her dodges go so far and have barely any recovery frames.Originally Posted by FanciestPoem Go to original post
Basically you can't do anything but be defensive and try to parry attacks. This typically means the PK will do nothing and just stare at you while you stare at her, but this actually works out in Dominion since there are plenty of times where it is strategically viable to just sit on a point to neutralize it (especially on the enemy point side). If an ally shows up then you can fight the PK. If an enemy shows up then the PK will attack you, which will allow you to parry attacks and/or eventually activate your revenge. For this reason it's actually easier to face two PKs at once rather than fight a single PK.
That is raw numbers sure, but given an assassin health pool against a heavy health pool, since this is about the conqueror, in terms of percentage, what I said still stands, I should have been clearer maybe but it is a fact that a heavy needs less successful attacks against an assassin than vice versa, which is balanced as they have to work harder to get one.Originally Posted by Aarpian Go to original post
PK has 20 less hp than conq, warlord, warden (only shugoki and Lawbringer have more). 120 vs 140.Originally Posted by FanciestPoem Go to original post
3x17/140 = 36% of hp. Then add in whatever bleed you're talking about.
Average heavy damage is about 30, highest is 45, so let's be super generous and assume you're getting overhead heavied by a raider or lawbringer off a light parry:
45/120 = 37.5% of your hp.
Conq's heavies actually do 23 damage, so:
23/120 = 19% of your hp.
You're still talking ****.
Ok, fair point, I haven't seen the numbers, I had been looking at it subjectively where if I get into a mix up and it goes wrong, I will wind up with half bar lost to about a quarter on the opponent side (and I have said more than once I do not claim to be the best at this game so mileage may vary), when it came to actual numbers, obviously what I said has been shown to be hyperbolic and I am not going to push that. The main point had been that standing and trading does not fall into a peacekeeper's strengths.
OK heavy shield users... You do realize you are the cancer killing the competitive scene right now don't you? Only thing conquerors should be asking for is a more interesting kit in exchange for the one trick snorefest of a kit they have now. Warlords probably need to be excluded from tourneys till Ubisoft does something about them.
Why are you even mentioning conqs? they are a joke pk/orochi cant even be confirmed by shield bash light, and wall combo is easy to escape. conqs have ZERO to do outside of those, even their lights are easy to parr/deflect lmao sit downOriginally Posted by We_Wuz_Kongz Go to original post
