Actually, the point was that it was a 100% combo, unparryable. The hit-stun keeps you stunned UNTIL the Top Light x2 hits. That's the whole point. Obviously I can still do Top Light x2, but it's currently at least blockable (I don't know if it's parriable, but I doubt it since the window is still very small).

My point was that if you're landing your stormrush then your opponent is bad and you should feel bad.

oh no! instead of exploiting SR/2xLT/GB/HT you will now have to do something else! god forbid!
SR/GB/HT than.. still better than what most characters have. what other characters have a free Hard after a Hard hit?

Honestly the thing I hate most about fighting Orochi is the free heavy attack they get after a GB.

You have to get better at counter-GB, it is really not hard (at least on PC, but should be doable with a controller). Being at close range doesn't change anything, except you panicking.
If you are fighting a dodge-happy oroshi, just use feints into parry (if he attacks during the dodge) or into GB (if he only dodges - he can't counter GB during a dodge).

Once you master that, the oroshi's only way to Attack is... top-light and zone Attack. Everything else is too slow and can be parried or blocked. Keep your guard top, and be ready to defend the zone. If he uses zone, remember that he'll be very low on stamina. One parry and you make him bite the dust.

I enjoy fighting them, it's a lot of feint and mindgames, because they have no safe way to Attack you, but if you fail your Attack he'll punish you hard. I actually tried playing him this week and it's loads of fun. But his offensive toolkit is very limited and I got most of my damages out of ennemies mistakes.
Thank god someone knows what they are talking about in this thread! OMG the ppl that think orochi is OP drive me absolutely crazy.

Honestly Orochi is one of the more balanced characters. They are great against low and mid tier people but pretty bad (not many tools) against high tier players.

I don't think they have made top 32 in a 1v1 tournament yet or if they have, not many.

To get back on the thread topic, storm rush is a double light combo guaranteed on most classes but some shield base classes it isn't guaranteed but the good thing about it is, I don't think it is parry-able by those classes. Shugoki seems unique in the way that they actually can block 1 of the 2 top lights after a storm rush if they are prepared with a top guard (which is really weird). It wasn't a ninja nerf. Was always there.

P.S. there is no endless loop GB, Light attack combo. Just counter the guard break simple as that. Go through the tutorial again to find out how to counter a guard break. Dodging is not the answer (that's a different discussion though!)
