Penalty For Quitting Duel Needs To Be Way Harsher

According to ubisoft, connection is the most important factor when matchmaking in duel.

I can attest to this, as I personally have never disconnected from a duel match, either in the open beta or the full game. And duel is by far my most played game mode.

Also in my experience, whenever someone quits its because they are clearly mad or going to lose the match, often both.

Therefore, the penalties need to be much harsher in order to discourage this pathetic behavior. If you're going to lose then stick it out, learn from it and don't be a wimp. Better yet, beat them in a rematch and get revenge.

In addition, it leaves the remaining player in the awful position of having to play a damn bot for the rest of the match. I mean come on i didnt pick pvp duel so i could play against the AI. If someone quits, it should just be an automatic victory so that person can join another game instead of fighting a bot for several rounds.

And the current "penalty" of not getting rewards for a match is basically no penalty at all especially because duel rewards are so low anyways. This NEEDS to change. (Duel rewards should be much higher too btw)

The penalty for quitting a game of duel should be as follows:

    1. Cannot join any matchmaking for 30 minutes (time increases by 30 minute intervals for each duel quit within 24 hours).
    2. Loss of 1000 steel (increases by 1000 intervals for each duel quit within 24 hrs). If the person is at 0 steel for example, then it becomes negative 1000 and any steel they earn goes to paying the debt first before going positive again

I personally have never quit a game of duel, even when its obvious im going to lose. And i know a lot of people dont quit, but the ones who do need to be punished for it. With this system, quitters will either have to stick it out and lose, quit and suffer the penalty, or play a different game mode.

Right now they get away unscathed and it must be addressed asap.

Wow dude, calm down satan. A little more fair system since its casual and not ranked, it should be 2min at first, then 10mins, then 15. Not removing steel or a instant 30min bann lol.

Unscathed? People who quit get ZERO rewards, is that not enough of a punishment? Also, it's Duel, a game mode that has no impact on team play whatsoever, so if your opponent quits, they basically just handed you an easy win for easy rewards. I honestly don't understand people who ragequit in this game, especially near the end of a match. You still get rewards if you lose, but if you ragequit like a *****, you get nothing. You're only hurting yourself...

It is unranked, but there is no ranked right now, if its the only option then the penalties should be harsher.

When ranked comes out then they can reduce the penalty and then put the harsh one in ranked

How about UBISOFT leaves non-ranked alone and put in penalties for competitive play. Just because YOU have a solid connection doesnt mean others get disconnected at a whim. I have fiberoptic 25mb up and down, less than 50ms latency and I get disconnected on a regular basis. So I should be punished in non-ranked play because of Ubisofts terrible P2P system?

No thanks. I left Overwatch for the exact same reason.

see...A week ago, I would agree with you... but with the rubber band trend that has been happening... what are you supposed to do when 3 of your team mates go in circles at the base? or even 2

Wow, this idea is so dumb it actually hurts. Are you 15yr? Everyone would be bankrupt after a week with all those dc's and errors.

Well looks like we've found a major quitter right here. If you disconnect often in duel then your internet is just bad. I've never dc'd nor have my opponents they all quit right after i kill them or they realize its over. You are the reason this needs to happen.

Now stop being a noob and finish your matches

How often do you disconnect in 1v1? Because if its a lot then your internet is just bad. As i said to someone else, my suggestion is DUEL only no other modes.

I would agree except there is no competitive play. This is the only option right now so it should be where the punishment is. Once ranked comes out then they can reduce non ranked penalty to the current form.
