Prevent gang banging w/FF during Skirmish/Dominion or guard

I was chatting with my bro and I was replying to a video he sent talking about For Honor's broken fighting system. I believe this guy was just saying tht it was broken from a Skirmish/Dominion standpoint. I figured I should post here my reply for suggested game change.

"so to the For Honor review, i get what the guy is saying but i dont agree. The best thing i can say about For Honor is that you're not forced to play a specific mode. And like he said, although its splits the community, to me it just makes it feel like its two games. I feel the fighting mechanic works well for Duel and Brawl and the different weapon/armor attributes are fine for games like Dominion. You dont know what skill level you will encounter on any real battlefield and its the same in the game. the problem is the "gang banging". Perhaps that special feature that the warlord has where you hold down a button and he blocks forever until his stamina runs out, perhaps that should be given to all characters when faced with multi-character attacks in these Dominion type games. The fact that there are soo many characters on the screen and you loose track of your opponent too easily, would be a welcomed change. As well as the visuals changed for better clarity in these congested skirmishes. Dull red on top of orange, in a cluster **** of motion is, as we both can attest and as well as everyone else, is just horrible and irresponsible of the dev. Especially if the fact the camera zooms out making all indicators even smaller. Smh! God forbid playing on small screens at living room seating distances. I have a 55" and have to move my seat to be 5-6 feet away for comfortable viewing. (granted this is the natural distance for a 55" HDTV but uh, not for my living rm seating, and too broke to get a bigger size, currently) Anyway the indicators need to be clearer and with more than 2 ppl ganging up on you you need simple button defense.

    Oooorrr....

They could make it a penalty during "gang bangs" by allowing "Friendly Fire". Since 4 ppl are actively acting like hyenas trying to get their heavy attack "execution" hit in and weapons swinging wildly, contact with their teammate will result in injury and eventual death if hit too many times. Cant be any fairer than that. This will immediately put the dueling portion back into games like dominion or skirmish along with skill level play and a sense of strategy when mass attacking one opponent or being attacked by multiple opponents. You can use your guarding of a second or 3rd attacker as intended. Use skill to best a 3 or 4 on 1 situation by leading your opponents attacks into his teammate, which could potentially even up the fight. Obviously revenge mode will still play its part and will be buffed or debuffed by your or their character's gear attributes. Also, because you get renown from beating characters, you should get extra renown for defending against a 3 on 1 or 4 on 1 with each opponent you kill in those situations. I think this is something that can be implemented in the Dominion and Skirmish game-type. "

It's called revenge. Seriously. Block attacks and use it to your advantage. If you're getting 1v4d, the odds SHOULD be stacked heavily against you. It's still very possible to win a 1v2 and it's still somewhat possible to 1v3, 1v4ing is not meant to be easy.

so... i admit i didn't read most of that, but "friendly fire" sounds like a winning update. if 4 people can beat on you while your teammates respawn, it only makes sense that those 4 people neeed to be careful and not just mash out their attacks. this change would seriously reduce the 4v1s and force players to engage in 2v1s more carefully, leading to more strategic gameplay.

and of course, killing an ally through dumb****ery would add a nice big chunk to your respawn time.

Right, agree with that last part of adding extra respawn time seconds, as it is when you are executed vs standard death.
