Last Stand - am I being a burden to my team?

I'm only doing PVE in Last Stand, When I run into agents on the other team I stand still and let then kill me, for the most part I'm out of the way clearing landmarks for shade tech and activating the bonuses when they are available, so I'm only dying 2 or 3 times a match when I run into the opposing team.

Is this hampering the team I'm in or am I doing my part by just doing PVE?

Why do you just stand still and let the opposing agents kill you?

Guessing that its supposed to be a pve carrot. Its the only reason it was added to the game mode. "Guys theres a great pve element to last stand, come take a look" oh right, i can still run into hostile agents? Not a pve element then....

Move along, nothing to see here.

If you are getting the bonuses you are at least helping but at least and try and fight the enemy. I got caught fighting a 2 on 1 and my teammate did nothing. I managed to kill one and almost the one, had my teammate helped a little we would have easily beat them. Even if you are horrible in PVP you will at least delay them from their goal or until help arrives.

In the beginning, I would adopt similar behavior in the DZ, when a 4-way gaggle of Rogues would approach me (solo), I would just stand there as to indicate that I have no interest in playing with you, or PVP in general, in the hope that they would simply move on. More often than not though, their immaturity got the better of them, and they felt the need to kill me anyway. Its annoying, but after I got the Banshee gear-set and no longer lost credits and XP, I cared less. I got to the point where I would just detonate a grenade or sticky to kill myself (and maybe them) so they didn't get credit for the kill and I could re-spawn somewhere where they were not. But that was the DZ.

I haven't played LS yet, as the servers were beat down last night, but it sounds a lot like Underground, where even in PVE-mode, the other PVP'ers can (which means they most certainly always will) kill you. Bummer. I was immediately suspicious when Underground said that I was "queued" awaiting a game in PVE-mode.

Remember back when you could put a disk into your console and play a game? No internet latency, no server lag, no queuing, no PVP, no other 12-year old players treading on your good time? Ah, the good old days. :-)

But.. I digress and missed my point. These days in the DZ, when I am on a team, I try to fight the Rogues, as I feel I owe it to my teammates. You know, "fight for the man next to you". Part of being on a team is winning or losing together, but I always do the best that I can for the team. just my opinion.

Last Stand may offer PvE, but you HAVE to defend the objectives and the surrounding area, or pretty much just B, from other players. Letting them kill you is wasted effort. The more help in those fights, the better, even if you die, because your team can clean up what you left...

Depending on how good THEY are.

Stop with the pve you will die anyway. If you don't like the face to face combat stay back as a support healer that would be more of a help to your team

you are not hampering the team, as the SHD tech is needed for the point boosters and other stuff, but you should try to kill the other players as well, as mentioned above, even if you die, you at least slowed the other player down to be mopped up by the rest of the team. I suck at PVP and playing LS was fun, i felt on equal footing with the other players, still got killed, but hey it happens, just get back in the fight to help your team.
