Very often times when I try to block a series of attacks or just a specific attack it doesn't work.
Here I cut a moment from a fight to show you the thing, pay attention to the stick indicator, I missed the first hit, but then I clearly saw from where the hits are comming and was moving my stick to the corresponding location but I couldn't block a single attack from the series.
Ok we can say that I was slow on the first two attacks, but the last two attacks which are VERY obvious I moved the stick in enought time that it should block the attack.
So here is the problem:
1) The berserker's block is too slow (whitch I doubt)
2) The magical ubisoft's P2P simulation is working bad, that my movements are registered a lot later than should
3) Whatever is broken with this game.
Sometimes happen that when I hit the enemy I can hear the sound of blocking and see the arrow on the attack's way but the damage go through! So I suppose on he's screen he was blocking but because of the lag my game didn't registered that and I still did damage to him.
I'm located in Moskow, Russia, my PC is conected through the cable, the internet speed is 60mb/s, my nat is yellow.
Just to add that this issue piss me off very much, and I'm likely to quit with this game if this problem will still persist.
Because this is stupid, in a game where you need to react in 300ms having so much lags make it unplayable.
I can't agree with that, maybe it is the game issue whitch register my imputs so slow, but you should be down to not be able to react at least to the one of the attacks because they are very damn obvious, at least the last two of them, ok, lets tell I'm the most terrible player, but you can surely see the last attack, but It didn't blocked even that!Originally Posted by Zoxjib Go to original post
Also the video lag from the frist to the second attack but if you pause, you can see that at the moment he hits the right side the stick was already at the right.
Assassins have a start up delay after being hit, since no assassin can keep their up longer than 1.75 seconds also, not that the later occurred but the former absolutely does.
It's also apparent in the berserker has a very short start up for its infinity and uninterruptable chains.
In theory this means that in this instance the berserker can make a next attack before another assassin can recover enough to move the guard to the correct side, in many cases even with perfect human input.
This is similar to many classes like lawbriger, nobushi and wardens upper heavy hits after guard break can be easily prevented by characters of a faster nature like pk.
This is my theory anyways, I wouldn't put it that you're slow or your net is wrong.
Try to look at things like your personal character times in these areas:
Start up
Recovery delay
Defence
Guard break
Receive window for guard direction change.
You'll find each character has a different stat for all of them, based on class, speed, gears, weapons, hero specific stats.
They tend to sit somewhere within the 200-1000ms area.
With berserker, I can only ever recover by its 3rd or 5th as an orochi, 2nd are always guaranteed. The other 9 non assasin classes, often have 1/3 guard points covered, but after being hit that closes for a small period of time too, it flashes up very briefly for them to move parry, or leave it where it is.
Assassins you obviously have 0/3 guard points covered until you have enough freedom of movement/ recovery windows.
Hope that helps clarify it a little
Hope that helps a little

Though for me For Honor does have a lack of responsiveness, so it could be that, even if the OP pressed the button at the right time, it would be responding too late ingame
I have blocking problems too. In my opinion the deathband of my Xbox 360 controller is the problem. The block direction changes only if the right stick has reached the end of one side. With my mouse I can block without problems. Is there a solution to decrease the deathband? Playing with mouse is much superior when it comes to blocking...altleast for me.
