Just curious; what was the logic behind re-rolling all the talents on my now "exotic" weapons?

I ask because, well, literally half of my hard earned exotic weapons are now all but useless.

Also couple side questions; why do I have like 6800 PC's? I thought the max was 5000? I think I logged off with 1900ish before the patch. Haven't even opened any of the roughly 140 caches I have saved up between 4 chars.

How do I obtain more premium credits? When I go to the store it says it's empty or something.

Mate everyone of mine was rendered useless about 10 weapons.

I had to rebuy the Historian with PH credits and the one great exotic I do have wasn't even an exotic before the patch it was a yellow Famas.

Yup. I had every exotic gun and they all re-rolled with the same 4 useless talents. So I went out and bought Horizon Zero Dawn.

I expected this.

Being someone that likes AR's (even before the 1.5 meta), I farmed like 25 Famas's. It clearly was a good idea, I probably sold more then half of them, but at least I have a few good ones.

Yeah I love how they just rebadged the already existing named weapons as exotics and made em an orange red but they really have nothing special over a regular gold gun minus them being gold in finish.
What is the point, bling factor?

I hear ya all. I just want to know why? I mean I get it they're changing to "exotic". Some have a new "free" exotic talent of whatever.

But why reroll my existing talents? The talents on the Pakhan were pretty much perfect for PvE for example.

Was this a method to further perpetuate RnG? I'm just asking why? I knew this was going to happen, the rerolling. I figured I'd wait until the patch and see how it's implemented befor I say anything. All I see is there was really no need, no justification.

Other than artificially creating demand with limited supply. Instead of me saying I have a bunch of exotics, and I'm happy satisfied, now I have to replace the ones they unnecessarily jacked up, and when I do get one, I have to hope it rolls with talents that are useful.

3 out of 4 of the Liberators I have, that I used to consider a great weapon that complimented My Skill Power player well, all now have talents that are totally irrelevant when it comes to Skill Power.

I just don't see why it was needed/done.

I would have greatly preferred for them to keep the non-exotic talents on the exotic weapons as well instead of the RNG lottery. That beind said only my Tenebrae and most of my Liberator's were rendered useless. My Caduceus and my Hungry Hog actually rolled somewhat decent utility skills for their purpose (Hungry Hog Swift plus Predatory rerolled, Caduceus Determined - reduced Skill cooldown on kill and Predatory rerolled)..

They refunded your PC from exotic weapon rerolls and stuff, that's why it went over the cap.
