I've never even got past that point since the beta. Tried everything and my device specs seem sound.
Oops .. I assumed you got further. I can sadly confirm that it indeed crashes on the IPad. My IPad Air also freezes after several seconds. Was hoping that the tablet might synchronize.

And yes.. it's kinda funny that one needs to open ports of the router while it says "be on the same network"... Anyway, I'll post here when a miracle happened and all started to work properly. I'm about to try an android emulator and see if that works. Closer than that isn't possible.

I had no issues syncing up with my Xbox One during the Open Beta but now after release it keeps failing....I'm starting to think there are many issues going on with all the 'services' Ubi has going right now.

The Ghost Recon HQ isn't syncing for a lot of people.
The Ghost Recon Network isn't allowing people to add tags to friends.
UbiClub isn't syncing some of the rewards you have unlocked.

these are a few I am running into at the moment.

    Working!

I just wanted to say that my app just synced perfectly, but also mysteriously!

How? I still don't know exactly, maybe Ubisoft fixed something....I don't care any longer as long as this thing keeps synced.

Cause, below is what I've done (just before it worked) and it doesn't make sense in anyway... in my opionion it was just another desperate attempt of trying to get the bloody thing to work... and cause it did, the least I can do is share what I've done.

Like I said.. makes no sense, but my firewall was already disabled and what I've just did now was
    - Go to advanced firewall settings
    - Remove all the entries of Ghost Recon in inbound/outbound

PS. In my outbound there weren't any ghost recon rules at all.

Also, and also for future usage, I changed my PC to have a fixed IP address (make sure your DHCP addresses start at, for instance, 100, and assign a number below it to your PC. (Don't use the same address as your router ;-) ).

    - I set my router to forward the 6000/7000 ports BOTH UPD/TCP to my fixed PC IP address (and did so as well on my subrouters on my network)

I hit sync and it suddenly worked. Good luck and hopefully Ubisoft fixed something and I'm not the only one who got synching to work now.

PPS. This was not on my ipad, haven't tried, using S7 (Android)

Had the same issue . Then realized that being wired into my router wasn't enough i had to also connect to the same wireless network that the app was running on. You still need to allow it thru the firewall also.

Go to START >Type in "Windows Firewall with Advanced Security" (Without quotes)

    Click > Inbound Rules
Click > New Rule (Right column)
    Click > Program > Next
Browse > Ghost Recon WIldlands EXE (GRW.exe) Wherever it is installed for you > Next
    Allow the connection > Next
Keep all 3 checked > Next
Name it what you like > Description > Finish

Do this for Outbound Rule as well so they can communicate.

The implementation of this app is really piss-poor.

Bethesda's companion app for Fallout 4 doesn't require plugging an IP address into the app or being let through your firewall. You start Fallout 4, you start the app and it all just works. Not sure why Ubi had to make theirs so convoluted.

Thank you for your attempt of helping.... however, in future - please read the whole topic before replying. It's only 3 pages, and EXACTLY this text was already pasted here.
