Peacekeeper stealth nerf to Deep Gouge

Deep Gouge used to be unblockable with a successful Heavy, now it is normal.

    EDIT:

The Patch Notes state: Attacks that cannot be blocked because they are too fast no longer display the Unblockable Attack feedback.

My bad, thought it was a nerf.

So, Deep Gouge not being unblockable in no way affects its ability to interrupt uninterruptibles. If you're going for an interrupt than your enemy is attacking and therefore cannot be blocking.

It's also extremely fast and hard to block anyway, so I don't know why you're saying it is slow or why you think it needs to be unblockable. I always thought it was funny that it was unblockable because it really didn't need to be.

Because an unblockable attack interrupts another unblockable attack. It allows PK's to stop the unblockable spam from some classes, namely the Shugoki, Kensei, and Warlord (and the Raiders unblockable zone)

Any two attacks will interrupt an unblockable. In fact, a single hit will interrupt a Kensei's unblockable attack.

I don't think you're informed correctly, or you misspoke. A Shugoki has unINTERRUPTIBLE attacks, he also has some unblockables. His uninterruptible attacks, however, can be interrupted by two light attacks from the Peacekeeper. They are fairly easy to shut down when they don't know how to block.

Warlord's have uninterruptible heavy attacks which can't be stopped by the peacekeeper because they're uninterruptible during the start up and you don't have enough time to get in two hits.

I guess this was never an unblockable attack, it just showed unblockable because it was too fast to block. Answered my own thread.

Thanks for the info, I didn't realize that.

Haha, interesting. So they aren't fiery unblockables anymore, they're just not possible to block.

They actually can be blocked now if the guard is in the position before the hit, so it is now no longer unblockable, it can be blocked.

I can confirm this, just dueled a shugoki who blocked the followup attack twice in a row. I sure hope this is a bug and not intended.

It really never should've been unblockable before, but it's true, after every single heavy attack the deep gouge will come from the exact same side so it's probably not difficult to expect it.
