Logged in last week and all of a sudden several sound effects had just disappeared, namely all my characters voices are completely non-existant. Also my weapons cant produce sound, however things like conqs shield bash do. All other characters on screen have no issue whatsoever, its really strange.
Tried deleting sound files and validating local files (steam), also tried re-downloading and installing the game from scratch, no luck. I was hoping todays patch would fix it, but no such luck of course.

Hello dude,
I had this exact same issue when I first installed For Honor. " Day of release " However our issues maybe slightly different.
As I could hear the voices, footsteps and sword parry's etc but it sounded like headphone surround sound but from multiple rooms away.
Sadly I was not able to find any fix for this other than full re installation for the game and after it crashed my system, it actually corrupted my OS so had to do full reinstall of all and now the game is working without issue and no audio issues.
If the problem persists, I would advise you have a good look at your audio peripherals and drivers as I believe that because the game has a AUDIO OUTPUT option for some reason, I think it caused conflict when I would for example pull my USB stick out for my headset. Crashed my game and that's where my issues started.
