I spend most of my time playing For Honor with the AI because of the horrendous network conditions we have to deal with (please Ubisoft, we need dedicated servers), but it can still be extremely frustrating because hostile AI heroes are pretty brutal even on the lower difficulty levels while friendly AI heroes are usually incredibly inept in comparison. I tend to spend a good portion of my matches reviving AI teammates only to lose in the end because they constantly get slaughtered. It's more or less me versus the whole enemy team. Hostile AI heroes need to be toned down a bit and friendly AI heroes desperately need to be brought up to par.
For Custom Match, I'd love to have the option to manually select which faction is attacking and which is defending for the AI soldiers and captains in Dominion and Skirmish. Also, it'd be terrific if we had the ability to fully customize each AI hero (appearance, emotes, feats, etc., etc.). I want the freedom to set up my own scenarios, and I believe having these additional options for Custom Match would be a lot of fun.

The lack of replies indicates how many other people see this as an issue. Please care with the self bumping of the thread.
Personally, I have found that my AI teammates vary greatly. Usually there is one on my side or AI side that is just "better" than most of the other AIs. Its mostly a Raider.
Your recommendation for such intricate customization is a bit much in my opinion. While it shouldn't be too hard to incorporate such a feature, I do not see Ubi as making it a priority for a long, long time.
I can agree on one thing and that is that I would also like to be able to choose the AI composition of a match. For instance, put 3 easy AIs on my team and 4 hard AI's on the other, and get to choose which heroes they are.
Having an "AI" game mode might be nice for this. If we could choose some of the main story bosses to fight against on certain difficulties and maps or arenas of our choices, maybe even a skirmish VS all of them at once! Or pit them against each other to see some cool battles.
