You actually did and I'm pretty happy that there's no doubt about that this time (apart from in the minds of a few tin foil hat people).Originally Posted by CoyoteXStarrk Go to original post
A good solid win with no last minute rule changes / no controversy is exactly what we needed.
Even if it was the filthy heathen Vikings that won. I still blame the Samurai![]()
I still think its weird that they would calculate the assets deployed and not have that factor in. Technically the samurai should be in second by 1% more assets. Not salty just saying.Originally Posted by Gray360UK Go to original post
Same with the deployed asset counts per player. Why have a number value associated with how much a player puts out if it literally means nothing.
I second this. I feel used xD (jk).Originally Posted by WhiteCrakka Go to original post
To show you how much you contributed to the war. That's pretty much all it is for.Originally Posted by WhiteCrakka Go to original post
Now that they are sticking to Territories controlled = winner it does mean a lot and it does make sense.Originally Posted by WhiteCrakka Go to original post
Not to rub it in, but the fact the Samurai deployed more assets than the Knights means they deployed them in the wrong places.
Someone did a really basic drawing to explain it a while back.
Basically even if you put a million assets into one territory, you'll win that one, but only that one.
It's important to put them where they will gain you the most ground, important not to over-attack or over-defend (once it's yours, further assets are wasted).
You can see then that asset totals mean nothing, it's where you place them.
Not even that really, if you put all your assets into a territory that was already yours, on say 51%, and you boosted it up to 53%, you didn't really help with anything.Originally Posted by Kashrafall Go to original post
It was already yours anyway.
This is where the tactical allocation of assets comes in.
Okay you made it harder for it be taken back, but who says anyone even tried?
Lot of elements at play.
Not really though, since only the last day of turns matter. I understand what you are saying but in reality you could say that my faction only put out 10% assets while the others 40% or more and still win the round. In no real scenario should someone win a war by simply not participating until the last day.Originally Posted by Gray360UK Go to original post
Yeah this is true, too much is decided at the end regardless of what went before.Originally Posted by WhiteCrakka Go to original post
I'm sorry is that a KNIGHT that is *****ing? Pretty sure SAMURAI had everyone beat but thanks to that NAT red **** we got ****ed. Most Samurai are from overseas and play when it's night in America. That huge buffer we had between the two factions since they like to double team us was what kept us ahead. So please...cry again about how your faction lost. Let them take this round. The rest of them belong to Samurai....I'll make you a big sandbox, though. That way it'll still feel like home.
I'm sure the devs will implement extra rewards later on, for personal assets. What I would find likely is 1 steel for every 500-1000 assets. That way most people would get another scavenger crate worth of steel. Well, depending on how much you play.Originally Posted by Gray360UK Go to original post
For Knights though, I would totally settle for some better ornaments. Especially for the Conqueror.![]()
