Everything about the concept of defence->damage is bad for gameplay.

Nope you can't =_= you can't dodge or parry blind justice from light parry.Originally Posted by YOGZULA Go to original post
You see what you're saying is contradictory, though? You're saying if you can't guard break, then you get parried and that's why it's not worth it to attack, because parrying gives a free GB.Originally Posted by MinaX-LorD Go to original post

You should try it. Ask some friend to test it outOriginally Posted by YOGZULA Go to original post. Lawbringer also get free light side attack from shove, like the Warlord headbutt.

Did you do this on purpose?
You don't get a guaranteed guard-break against every character after a successful parry. The knockback of certain moves (most notably from Nobushi, Kensei, LB, Valk) prevent the GB from landing at all. The point of LB's other options can be debated, but the Light Riposte follow up is 100% guaranteed to hit at ANY range, which means he gets damage / mix-up in a situation many characters do not.
GB > free heavy always the favoured option, but you don't always get it. Parrying is difficult to do when you're facing an opponent with good game sense and pattern recognition / mix-ups. The reward for parrying is a GB + 15-20% of their health? There is absolutely nothing wrong with that, you're rewarding skillful play with a fair advantage. If you took that away the game would be so goddam slow.
So technically your right, except getting a free heavy after a parry is not the same as getting a free GB. Free GB could mean your dead to the environment. I'm all for being able to get a free heavy after a parry, but I think a GB is too much.Originally Posted by Callisto-Major Go to original post
The environment isn't some invisible force that unknowingly sneaks up and steals the round from you. It's all around you, it is a constant presence, you can always see it. Use some foresight and position better and you won't die to GBs. Reposition yourself just like an MMA fighter would in the ring, don't back yourself into a corner. If you think a few steps in advance you will avoid getting fearful and blocking for 4s and oh surprise i got thrown off. Part of combat is thoughtful positioning. It's really your own fault if you have your back to a cliff and get tossed.Originally Posted by Riouxthless Go to original post
tl;dr always consider your surroundings, reposition yourself on even the slightest notion that you're moving towards a cliff
