I play on PC but have a 4G connection limited to 80GB per month. Will the game be released on DVD? I would gladly pay extra for the game on dvd or a USB-stick.
Second best would be to be able to download an inst. file to store on a usb hdd. I have friends with fiber but dont like to drag around my computer.
Same **** with BF1, only download.
I totally understand your predicament, but I would recommend having one of your friends download it and then you bringing over a portable drive/thumbstick and getting the install from them. Bring it back and point it to the directory of your choosing and let it verify the files and you should be good to go. Prolly better chance of that working out than getting a DVD of the game.
No need to if he has the game as well. Just copy the steam install folder from his computer to your computer in the same location as your other steam games. When you go to install it, just make sure it is pointing to the right location and you should be fine.
If your friend is not getting the game, then yes, you would need to login on his machine to get the install files downloaded.
He explained why in his first postOriginally Posted by Kozzak.77 Go to original post. Bandwidth cap and just slow speed in general. I've done similar things in the past for friends without problems so I can sympathize.
I always try and get a physical version. I have been since the 80s when I started gaming. I get and don't mind the whole digital download thing but not even having the option of getting the disc is annoying. I remember recently going out of my way to go buy the box version of Battlefront. I got home and cracked open the case to find nothing but a damn slip of paper with a redeem key and a DL address. I was pretty pissed.
