I love this game, first off. The gameplay, the mechanics, the fact that when I get my *** beat it's because I played badly/fell for the enemy's baits, not because they're cheating or button-mashing or w/e.
But I f*cking hate emote spamming.
The "huah!huah!huah!huah!huah!huah!huah!huah!huah!huah !huah!huah!huah!huah!huah!huah!huah!huah!huah!huah !" crap that some players do over your body after they beat you, or your allies do after they beat an enemy; it's just as annoying either way. Even more so if they have an Emote effect active so you get spammed with the noise from that too.
Yes, haha, it's hilarious that you can make it look like you're doing a pelvic thrust, well done, f*cking stop it.
A soft cooldown on the emote would be all that's needed. After initiating an emote, whether cancelled or not, you can't do another for, say, 2-3 seconds.
Hah! Did we happen to meet or something? It sounds like the perfect description of my behaviour when I face the same OP characters with my Conqueror. Duel after duel after duel. It's what everyone gets by using the same characters that require barely any skill to win and die against the most underpowered and one of the most difficult ones to use.
I wipe the floor with them and spam throughout the whole match so they get punished for their trending choice. I defeat them psychologically, too.
Please note this comes from a Conqueror who won 198 duels out of 217 since the release of the game, most matches being against Orochi, Peacekeeper, Berseker, Kensei and Nobushi. Add to that the Vikings who also try to throw you off the cliffs or bridges to the point they become so predictable and have no idea how to fight.
Have a good day, sir. (For your information, the QA submitted it but it was not acknowledged as a bug because the producers aren't butt-hurts, luckily).
The emote mechanics aren't going anywhere dude so please stop crying about trivial issues. I'm sorry it hurts your feelings when people kill you and tease you. Grow up.
I find it sad that you're the 2nd person to make this exact same topic this week. Turn your tv volume down if its that big of an issue to you. You don't really need sound to play this game. smh
On the other hand, you may be the one punished for inappropriate use and abuse of the report features -- which, by the way, have no meaning on consoles (there's no way people can cheat or insult on consoles).Originally Posted by EmeraldCthulhu Go to original post
I can't get worked up over the emotes to be honest.
What do you mean that you cannot insult or cheat on console? Are you joking or?
Lag switching has been used on console since back on ps2. I have seen and saved video of a couple of incidents. It's so easy to see. So the report function does actually work, but I also report people to Sony because you can actually send them the evidence.
I cannot believe what I just read. smhOriginally Posted by EmeraldCthulhu Go to original post
I hate to be 'that guy', but emote spam is the lifeblood of any competitive game. How else will your opponent wipe his supremacy all over your lifeless body without it? How else would you know this ******bag is so much better than you without it? How else will you be able to grit your teeth and swear under your breath to the point of a red-faced rage which you immediately proceed to take out on your friends and family?
Don't blame the emote spam. Embrace it.
Oh Darn!
Clearly you did not understand because I did not formulate it properly.Originally Posted by Mr_Gallows Go to original post
You can not insult or cheat WITHIN the game on the newer generation consoles. No way of composing and sending messages WITHIN the game, and the consoles have not yet been jailbroken to allow cheats.
1. The lag switching or game closing and relaunching or using a rubber band on your controller (etc.) in certain occasions are not considered cheats and can not be punished. At most, they are third party exploits and only if the producers of a specific game have a proper solution regarding such issues, along with the money to invest in case it ends up being a serious matter, adding a proper cooperation with either Sony or Microsoft, ONLY THEN they can find a viable solution and even at that point the player base can not be punished for taking advantage or a bad game design - at most their accounts can be downgraded but it rarely happens because it's difficult to determine what a certain player has gotten by and from "cheating" (determination which is never fair).
2. Any message sent or received on a console is responsibility of either Sony or Microsoft. That's common sense.
3. If players communicate through in-game voice chat, that's indeed something else and it can be reported with that given option.
I stand by what I said initially and, hopefully, you can now understand why.
