I play on both PC and Console.

I enjoy both platforms.

Developing for consoles is easier due to the consistent hardware.

Developing for PC is harder due to the countless combinations of hardware within a PC.

A Gamer on a low end PC may have better performance than someone with an High End PC.

The latest Graphic Driver may break a game.

SLI may be the culprit.

When I read forum posts and people post their PC specs and are having performance issues I sympathize.

When I post no performance issues and my specs the reply is usually "no way your not having performance issues".

I have rules I follow.

All current games installed have no performance issues.

Backup (image) my drive (windows) with the current graphic driver installed.

Install new game on other drive (games) and test.

Tweak game settings to best suit the performance of my PC.

Install new driver if needed and test.

Test all games if new driver installed.

Restore (image) my drive (windows) if performance is affected on different games.

Reinstall new game.

Console gaming is plug and play - PC gaming is not.
