I've been using an xbox controller (wired) on my PC for a while now with this game and it has been working great up until today. For some reason, now whenever I am holding down the left trigger (to lock onto someone) and I attempt to use the right trigger (heavy attack), it just switches targets. I checked all of the button mapping and even reset the settings to default just in case. Also, when I would go into the settings to customize the button mapping to move the swap targets to a completely different button, it only shows the keyboard button mapping and wouldnt let me change any of the keybindings. It still seems to be having the same issue. I'm hoping to not have to try and reinstall the game entirely but I get the feeling it may be what I have to do. Is anyone else having this issue or have any tips as to how to fix it?
I thought the same thing, but it was working fine earlier, plus, I just purchased a new one and out of the box it was doing the same thing.Originally Posted by SkiXiD Go to original post

Alrighty let's try a work around to put a different sort of profile on your controller.
1: Open Steam;
2: Open Big Picture Mode which is the little controller button on the top right of your Steam window;
3: Wait for the obnoxious logo to go away;
4: Go to Library;
5: Find and click the For Honor icon;
6: Move your mouse to the left side of the sreen and find the "Manage Game" button, then click that;
7: Click on controller configuration;
8: In this new window there are a few buttons in the bottom. Click on Browse Configs;
9: Click on OK for the warning;
10: Don't use the Official For honor configuration just yet;
11: Go to the left of the screen and find "Community" then click that;
12: Click on the one called "Right click guard break" by Freefall1984;
13: Now you will go to the window with your controller again;l
14: Press "back" twice so you're back in your library;
15: Start up For Honor and test to see if it now works for you.
Goodluck!
