Anyone got suggestion on how to rework the top 4 without nerf'ing them to the ground?
Warden: Less speed on his Light Attacks, he's way too fast for his damage and HP level and Shoulder Bash should not be cancelable into GB.
Warlord: Make Full Guard work exactly the same as Guard (but with 3 directions). This means it can't be used as a cancel.
Conqueror: The same Full Guard change would do here as well.
Shugoki: For the love of god, INCREASE the armor regen time. He's a monster with armor and he can just trade -> defend until armor -> trade ... PROFIT! Make it something like 10-15 seconds, that would work. I don't even care if he gets a slight HP / Damage boost in compensation. The Armor is the only thing that makes him OP.
Shugoki hyper armor should NOT work on GBs. It's literally character breaking. He can phase right through an attack to land the GB anyway, no interrupt.Originally Posted by The_Mensan Go to original post
After he baseball bats you, he can back off and wait for like a few seconds to get the armor back then REPEAT. It's his main weapon. Assassins are noob stompers and virtually useless at top level. Pick any assassin and I will duel you with a Warden. I can do everything you can with more damage AND a 50/50 options. It's almost going to feel like abuse facing an assassin with a Warden.
Indeed. I ragequit my Prestige 3 Orochi simply because he can never win a tournament filled with Warlords and Wardens. I picked up a Warden and he's not even prestige one but I am already better on him than my assassin. Just look at tournament wins or even GAME MECHANICS and base your finding there... Not some subjective whining of noobs who gets rofl-stomped by... The Warlord/Conqueror are just too safe, headbutt/shield bash spam into victory should not be a viable strategy. The worst offender for me personally is Shugoki though, its dumb character with his whole gameplay based around gimmicks. Its like hes from another game completely, so much bs like unblockable, guaranteed demons embrace after a parry/GB into wall which not only deal massive damage but also heals and possibly insta kills when Shugoki is on low health or his constant hyper armor which allows him to trade hits.

For Warden: I disagree with slowing down his attacks because without the shoulder bash cancel he is now just a slow assassin that just spams top lights and zones. Zones are punishable just stay in left stance. For Warlord: I agree but also you could also make the headbutt have a longer charge up and punish instead.
For Conqueror: Same deal as Warlord but ATM no punish to the bash, which shouldn't be free.
For Shugoki: Make Demon's Embrace harder to hit (Hitbox on it is a bit weird) and only free to knockdowns if timed correctly. The armor regen time increase would be good.
The main thing that is BS in this game is free attacks with no punishes and too many tools to use in 1 move set

What fighting games are you comparing For Honor to, the Commodore 64 version of International Karate?
Most FH champions have literally 2 poking tools, some feints, and a gimmick/mixup or two to spice things up. That's literally it. There's nothing more.
In games like MK or SF, most characters can zone using projectiles, do a lot of jump-in/aerial stuff, play footsies relying on normals, pressure with blockstrings/mixups, teleport.. they have way more tools, it doesn't even compare. For Honor's only saving grace is the fact that it has 3 attack angles instead of the usual low/overhead mixups. And there are people here that believe For Honor is too complicated and some characters should lose some of the moves that make them interesting.
What do you people want, Tic-Tac-Toe with knights?
