I'm tired of being in the zone of my team as a shugoki, and then, any other character in the game comes, starts running around a pillar, the big fire of C in the knights map or well, any damn obstacle and I'm forced to chase them (Pointless, because i will never catch them) to make my zone start earning points again. If I go out, I lose the zone.
I think the attacker of the zone should have the pressure to capture it and not the defender to be chasing the attacker just running away.
This has an easy solution, while defending a zone, if not outnumbered, still gain +1 every second.
Yeah but then again you are basically saying because your character is too fat and slow to catch them they should change the game.
It works really well I think, and is pretty standard for how capping a zone works.
The problem with your suggestion is the roles could then be reversed, big fat slow attacking Shoguki can't catch the defender running around.
You wouldn't have to fight to defend / keep your points.
If you make that change, you incite to combat. If not, you can just stand running like a rat, which I think isn't funny at all. Also, heavies are made for holding zones, not for attacking them. Also, if the defender runs, you are already cutting by one point per second their income. So both players feel like they're doing something at the zone. The way it stays now just makes u feel useless
If you change it the reverse could happend. A quick character could defend the zone by running around the pillar. I think making it neutral is the only fair solution.
There could be a delay on making it neutral however.
It's not that easy to fix.
People using such lame tactics are annoying in many situations.
Perhaps make a flag post your character would need to touch to initiate the capture. That would allow a fatty to guard that and force a fight.
It can be a bit of an issue if people really game it, but solving it should be done so it can't be exploited in other ways after the fix![]()
If your team decided to leave slowest hero in a zone that got big god damn goblet of fire in the middle where enemy can deny you the point endlessly...then it is your fault.Originally Posted by Seraphid Go to original post
I had a suggestion for this...
Make everyone's Sprinting R2 attack a "burst" attack with high lag and high stun. So if you are chasing, you can use that in a closed space to hit someone a good distance ahead of you. This move won't be useful UNLESS YOU HIT. So if you are running away with it, you will just do that move and lag until the other guy catches you again. So it's basically ONLY a chasing move.
Problem solved.
I think you misunderstood, or you don't want to understand.Originally Posted by Seraphid Go to original post
You have just repeated the same point and my point still stands.
There is no incentive to fight if you change it like this, the Defender can run around, not away, run around IN THE ZONE and keep scoring the points and keep the base. Your idea would remove the incentive to fight.
The incentive to fight is already in the game.
If you don't kill all the enemies you don't get any points.
You would take away the need for a Defender to fight, they just need to avoid death.
You cannot hand a big advantage like that to the Defender.
And you cannot say a Shoguki cannot Attack only Defend.
