There's 6 extra steps to perform on that page other than just forwarding ports too.

you should have public external IP address to have green NAT.
Most ISP (Internet service providers) offers only free private IP for customers and demand extra payment for public IP.
Check your external IP in your router. If it starts from 192, 172 or 10 then you use private IP and never get green NAT unless you pay your ISP extra for public IP.

    That is utterly incorrect.

What's incorrect is your assumption about what most ISPs do and the links you provided don't prove your point, they only explain the technicalities of private networks, which are most commonly used when numerous computers are connected to the same LAN and obviously can't have the same address to avoid conflicts.

ISP providing private address for customers is common because of IPv4 address space exhaustion and if you on your end have moderate NAT with udp port already open it means that ISP hardware not fully compatible with P2P udp passthrough tech. Only way you can overcome it is to ask ISP to provide public IP for you for little extra cash monthly.

To be sure you have private IP you have to check your external IP in router. If if starts from 192, 172 or 10 it means you have private IP.
