Basically just a king of the hill. A solo version like in MK10 in some kind of gladiator arena. Winner stays on etc.

Or perhaps more interestingly a team based version. So you have 1 player from each team duke it out, then the next person from the losing team steps in to fight the winner with his current hp (ideal to get executions), then it carries on until the surviving team is left standing. Players roll to determine who get to go first/last etc, and if a player is good enough could even wipe a whole team one after the other. The main point to this game mode gives it a more spectator-based mode where players who aren't currently playing could learn new techniques and even praise those who make some really good plays. There's a level of dominance potential for really high level players, though the only downside to this game mode is that some players may not even get a turn. Thinking this to be more of a team-competitive style game mode rather than pub. Maybe standard KotH for pub games?
