i got 2 copies of this game, 1 for me, 1 for my brother

And both of us have a red strict Nat type

I port forwarded, rebuilt database, did custom addresses, everything, like 8 different things

Still red, this is ridiculous

I cannot even try the custom 1v1 bot match, because the entire game is online

Why cant we just play offline bot matches?

The Nat type will not change, i cannot start any multiplayer or custom matches
I just get stuck in an infinite load screen

Been loading for 30 minutes now on a 1v1 custom match vs a bot

I am curious, what are the "rebuilding databases and custom addresses" options you've tried?

Have had the exact same thing happen to me, and you are right it's an absolute waste of money to buy this game when it doesn't work as its predominantly online such a shame!

Okay, if you own a Ps4 you can sometimes fix nat types with a database reboot
all it does is reset many internet settings in the system, but it works

Turn off Ps4, then Wait
When its 100% turned off, hold the power button for 10 seconds, listen for a beep
this opens up the boot menu

Now just turn on a controller, and pick rebuild Database

Once its done, the system goes back to the main menu screen, dashboard

It helps sometimes


The custom addresses requires access to your router
Setting up a DMZ and using a manual address on your wifi

View connection status on your Ps4,
Keep your ip address and gateways etc.
type them in during a manual set up, non automatic,
The set the ip address, first line to a custom one, like 192.168.0.158

Go to router, set DMZ on your Firewall
Use the 192.168.0.158 ip address,
This is a single access only open firewall to a pc or console
IT opens most router ports

I did all these different things, and it still gives me red nat

It is not your Router, it is not your console

This Red nat issue is caused by something with Ubisofts Servers, we just gotta wait it out

I think they are using the same servers for Wildlands and as it is having the same problems of connectivity (and this game already have it sold) they are redirecting the flow to favor the Ghosts.

It's a shame that a game that requires you to be online even to play the campaign has these problems

Same thing happened to me, I even tried to get an open nat type by messing around with the IP and youtube ****, realised that I got open nat type on rainbow six siege but not on for honor, for honor is honestly unplayable for me right now, this is sad. Unless this is fixed I'm going to demand a refund from ubisoft and if I don't get one I'm honestly never buying a game from ubisoft anymore, it's bad enough we have to play on unsupported servers, not being able to play at all? **** that.

To even play the story mode you have to be online

that is just dumb, DRM is just not acceptable for a single player campaign, in any game, like ever

so if you dont got internet, For honor is a brick, just like Overwatch


i had open for like 2 minutes, then back to strict

Then it was open again for 10 minutes, and back to strict

Now ubisoft kicked everyone off for emergency maintenance, so we got kicked out of story mode

Hopefully it gets resolved, not much you can even do offline anymore
