At the very end of the Berserker's in-game Advanced tutorial video, the very last tip states this:

"Avoid delays when Blocking Light Attacks by riposting with Light Attacks."
-
"Also allows Block and faster Attacks into your Chains."

I've done a lot of thinking about what this is supposed to mean, as it's not mentioned in zerker's Moveset list. It would seem to me that there's no difference in the speed of a light attack after blocking an enemy light attack compared to a normal light attack, and this seems to be just about the same across any hero.

What I HAVE noticed which seems somewhat similar, is that when PARRYING with a zerker, you get an unblockable guaranteed light attack that comes out surprisingly quick, which is not mentioned anywhere in either video or his Moveset (the enemy can see the little orange square when it happens indicating its unblockable, the zerker cannot see it though like with all 'Guaranteed' hits.) However, if you're in range for a light attack, why not heavy, or guard break? (I ask myself the same question about Lawbringers parry light attack riposte.)

Because this mechanic that Berserker has, and seems to share with Lawbringer, isn't described anywhere in game although Lawbringers is quite extensively, but shares some vague similarities with what's described at the end of zerker's Advanced tutorial video, I'm being led to suspect that there's some sort of mixup going on here, either on the side of the descriptions or the side of the in-game mechanic.

In light of all of this, my main questions are as follows:
  • What use is telling a Berserker that he can respond to blocking a light attack with a light attack of their own, if EVERYONE can do it too just as well?
  • Why would they mention that you can Block faster afterwards?
  • Why would you need to block quickly after you've already blocked a light attack which has staggered your opponent?
  • Why would they mention having faster attacks into your chains if you can't actually get a second attack off without getting blocked/parried?
  • Why, on the other hand, when the Berserker parries, would there be an unblockable buff given to a light attack that is going to land anyway because the enemy is staggered from a parry?
  • Why would anyone actually use this if you could just get a side heavy in that time still without fear of getting blocked and for more damage?

None of it really adds up to me. It seems like it would be a pipedream for what I'm proposing to be reality, but what if there was a coding screwup, and that light attack riposte from parrying being unblockable was really supposed to be when blocking a light attack instead of a parry? What if the wording in the Advanced video was exceedingly mucked up, and instead of saying 'allows Block' it was supposed to say 'becomes Unblockable'? It still doesn't explain the 'Faster Attacks into your Chains' bit, which doesn't surprise me considering how messed up the whole situation is.

Am I just crazy and cooking up pipe dreams? Or is there seriously some weird and wildly inefficient stuff going on with Berserker and this whole riposte thing? Getting a guaranteed light attack when blocking light attacks would pretty much move them straight to top tier, possibly even OP territory. It may just be that this was initially the case, but they removed it before I got my hands on the game, and possibly moved it to a more diluted parry riposte? There are a few possibilities. Regardless, some answers, or at least some discussion, would be really appreciated as a Berserker main.
