Gear breaks the game. The game is not balanced for it, someone with high gear stats is at such an advantage when facing someone without it. Leave gear stats to skirmish which is just a large mess anyway.

Options, it's all they have to do. If you want GS have a lobby where it's enabled, don't want GS, have a lobby it's turned on.

You can please everyone by just giving players an option to choose.

It's not gear with stats that are the problem it's the matchmaking. If it was matchmaking you with people with similar gear levels to you it wouldn't be a problem.
